GTA V graphic issues (x360 version)

Anytime I'm driving or looking at anything, there are jagged lines on pretty much all of the textures. The texture pop ins are EXTREMELY bad, to the point where I am having a difficult time ignoring them and actually enjoying the game. Basically any time I start to drive at a high speed, the game gets extremely choppy. I expected the game to have some texture pop ins and maybe some jagged lines, but it's so bad on my xbox I literally can't enjoy the game. Is this a problem with my xbox or something? Or is this just how the game is. My xbox is really old and a little beat up so I'm thinking maybe my xbox is making the problem worse. I have an extremely difficult time believing that a game that runs the way it is running on my xbox could receive all of these perfect scores.

Note: I didn't install the play disc.

Try installing play disc on a usb.

That's what I probably will end up doing, but I feel like that's unnecessary. Unless people are being dishonest, the majority of people aren't having these issues and I highly doubt they installed the game via USB.

same here but on ps3. Are you playing on HDMI? Also what are your screen resolution settings? While your ps3 is off, hold the power button until it turns on + another beep, so the resolution will set to your TV.

i'm having the same problem in terms of the jagged lines, its like the game doesn't have anti-aliasing or something. Although this happens on most of my other games and i assumed its my television thats the problem, i just don't know anymore.

Don't have both discs installed to hdd. I'm playing from disc which I'm not too comfortable with but it's spot on.

Will get a USB for play disc me thinks to put my mind at rest. Even tho my Xbox is only a year old I just don't trust microsofts hardware to cope. Lost one Xbox through DVD packing in. But yeah don't have both discs installed to hdd, you'll see the difference bro.

How about you read the op before you post?

Your TV probably has alot of input lag OP....

I forgot to mention this but it's a 25" ASUS monitor with 2ms response time, but what HDTV do you use? Model # would be appreciated.

I have the same issue but I think it's more relative to the TV mines a 720p setting on the 360 running through a component cable. I've ordered a HDMI cable to see if that makes any difference if not I'll have to get a new TV.

No issues here either. I am also running off the disc. Running the game at 1080p as well on my TV. Expect to see some jaggies, considering there is no AA in this game.

I play on an Xbox 360 and haven't installed the play disk on HDD/USB and my framerate has fallen for a second or so only once in my 8 hours of gameplay. Not experiencing any noticeable pop ins nor jagged lines, unless the mini-map waypoint line counts as a jagged line.

I'm also playing on an Xbox from 2007 ish too.

Same for me. When I played the first mission everything looked great. I was truly stunned. but once I got into the actual city it was jaggy as hell

Most notable for me was the first cutscene in LS.

The world appeared in bits but since then it's been smooth as it gets.

Install the play disc to your hard drive, you should do this for all discs anyway.

It's just better for your 360 and makes games load faster and run better.

Why didnt you try this in the first place?

I'm giving the game back if this isn't fixed.

Everything was fine at the start, ever since I unlocked Trevor the texture pop-in has been ridiculous.

Oily buildings and bridges in the distance, mountains look like terrain from Fallout 3. Bushes, trees, sign-posts, pedestrians appearing out of nowhere. It was all working perfect before, now it's unbearable.

It's as if the draw distance has gradually deteriorated since I reached the outer Los Santos area.

I feel scammed by Rockstar here.

I'm on an Xbox and haven't installed the play disc.

Hugely disappointed. I was enjoying the game so much.

I'm having the texture/asset pop-in problems where it's getting hard to ignore whilst just roaming around. I've got it installed to a USB too.
