It's just better to stick with the cars the characters start off with or simply steal any of the various supercars driving around Los Santos. I hope R* fixes this problem ASAP with a patch because it's getting ridiculous. What's the point of modding/buying if you can't even keep the damn vehicles? That one does seem to save because its still in that garage aswell as a comet and a green dilletante (breaking bad n sh*t) in michaels garage stay. Didnt try both of trevors now. Only time ive seen one disappearing was my fully modded out sandking which i dropped in franklins garage (which barely didnt even fit in). It appears to spawn in there sometimes, and sometimes its just gone. I dont understand... by the way what are the numbers on the char select wheel? Cant be open missions. Pretty much, I stopped buying cars after my first heist, spent a little over 50k suping up the S2000 looking car and boom.. it's gone. Flipped it was running for another car to flip it over and it despawned on me before i got into the other car. Now its not in the impound or garage. thats $1mill down the sh*tter. blk95ta Posted September 21, 2013 Share Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) i have never lost a car from the 4 car garage you have to hit the select button to get into. i put my modded/rare cars in those. each character has one with 4 slots ni it. the residential garages, yes i have lost cars. the only problem with the 4 car garage is that you can't take a car there if the garage is full. it will tell you it's full but if you go in and get a car to bring out, the car you were driving will disappear. had this happen with a really nice tricked out 3rd gen trans am/camaro but luckily i hadn't saved so i didn't lose the money. only problem is i now want another one and can't find that car again. um,. if you buy i car i think it is in the menu in the 4 car garage isn't it? i know i have a nissan skyline style car in there that you don't see but i can go in there and spawn one anytime i want to. it was one of the social club signup gifts iirc. Nope the menu to me just has my collectors edition cars and the social club (skyline looking car) the Airport hanger/helipad has the scroll feature though. I wish we could get another garage for the protags 4 cars is a bit naff considering how buggy safe house garages are. The duplicate car issue has plagued me since day 1, but not on top of each other, but side to side. Snug in the garage, side by side. Unable to enter either. So, useless. Except: when you roll a grenade in there, BOOM.. Go take a nap/save, and its parked outside the garage. Odd, but happens often. Its a fun show.. But aint nobody got time fo dat. *Update: now it seems I cant find franklins white buffalo anywhere. Not in any garage, impound, and when I reload game, its not anywhere near the house. Drove it two minutes to a mission Yes.I spent 50 000$ on my Comet,parked it in the garage(not at the Michael's home,but the actual garage with blue icon).I came for it later,drove it around and I crashed at high speed,went through the windshield and died instantly.Then I searched all the garages and impounds and the car is nowhere to be found.WTF?!It didn't explode. Can somebody please explain to me how this works?Does it only save with the cars you bought?It makes no sense since I was at the impound searching for my Comet and I could only recover the car I stole from the street.So it doesn't appear to save only bought cars,because I haven't bought any and still see cars at impound.The only problem is those are not my customized cars but the cars I stole on the street and left them.The same happened to my customized Gunlet. I bought Michael a car after Jimmy steals his and kept it for a while but then it randomly disappeared (even though it was in his garage) and he ended up using some random ped's car that I jacked at one point. And Franklin's. I spent loads on customising his Buffalo (is it?) twice. After the first time his car kept respawning as the modded version. And later I modded it more and kept it in the garage and it kept duplicating that one. So I had several for some reason. But then that very expensively modded car just vanished for no discernible reason, and now I'm stuck with the slightly modded one that just spawns on his driveway ... Franklin's got like no money now as well, so it's quite annoying. I assumed that there'd be some new system for saving cars. Because at the moment I have no interest in caring for them and have resorted to old fashioned car jacking almost every time I need to go somewhere. Lord of the Flies Posted September 21, 2013 Share Posted September 21, 2013 Trevor's pimped out double cab truck disappeared from the beachfront parking spot, not to be recovered in any other garage or impound, and that cost about $70k. Michael had the F-Type copy, also pimped out, and it disappeared after one mission, also not to be found in any garage or impound. Hugely annoying. Over $200k down the drain for those two cars. This is one of the reasons I bought the game and now this but I'm sure R* is working on a fix for this as well as a cement truck not being able to push a 3800lb Taurus police car. At this point I think R* knew about this problem, yet they went ahead and released the faulty game since they are facing bankruptcy, or so I've heard. Poor Houser brothers.
