Trouble Installing

Got the game at midnight last night and rushed home, eager to play. When I placed the install disc in my recently purchased used Xbox 4 Gb Slim that I just bought a new internal hard drive for (250gb) and started to install. It got to about 400~ Mb and the screen went black. Nothing was working, I couldn't even press the Xbox home button. I turned off the Xbox, cleared the data that said it was corrupted, cleared the cache, and tried to re-install. As soon as I did, it just went back to the normal install screen (music playing, screens are switching) but now it is just stuck at 0/7876 Mb... I called Rockstar Support and one of the agents said it could be the copy (which it isn't because I just borrowed a friends to try and it is still stuck at zero) or my system, which doesn't make sense because these two other games I have work and save data with ease. I just need some help/guidance, thanks for reading.
