All you guys who have the game are lucky/ when do we play as trevor

Im not getting it til October 4 for my birthday another 2 weeks. And when is the firsrt time in the game you get to play as trevor, cuz all I keep seeing on gameplay vids on youtube is michael and franklin

In the beginning prologue, you start with Michael, but as soon as the guard grabs you during a cutscene, you're prompted to switch to Trevor, whom you play as until the mission ends at the little wayside buildings where you get clipped by the train.

You get to play as him properly after the first heist is completed.

You get to play as trevor after you do 10 or so missions with frank and michael

Using the guide to count the missions I come up with the 15th mission if I exclude the prologue and a mission that can be played two different ways. The mission is called 'Mr Philips'

 

Michael is introduced in the 5th mission called 'Father/Son'

The best way to gauge when you're approaching Trevor in the main story is that he comes in right after you finish the first heist and you send Franklin to Michael's house to celebrate. The cutscene for that "mission" segues into Trevor's first mission.

 

When you

pull down the house in Vinewood

at the start of Michael's missions is when you start the chain of events that lead to the heist.
