Is Max Payne 3 to blame for GTA V short comings?

As for your inquiry, the only influence "Max Payne 3", in my eyes, has on the game are regarding its shooting mechanics, which have been drastically improved over past titles, and the more detailed visuals. The lack of interiors has absolutely nothing to do with the aforementioned game or series. GTA V is about exploring the exterior world, taking in the sights and sounds of the city/countryside proper. It's about experiencing everything that the true protagonist/antagonist (the setting) has to offer the player.
