just-a-spaz
I'm already used to the driving in GTA V and it's much better than GTA IV. Also, I'm one of the one's who loved GTA IV driving and I also hate Saint's Row games. Just so you know. It's like a mix between GTA IV and Midnight Club LA. By the way... this is the most feature-rich game I think I've ever played. There's so much in it, it's just unbelievable! Anyway... I'm a huge fan of GTA IV, but that game seems very, very, very empty in comparison. Edit: By the way, they've upgraded the damage system in my opinion. It's no longer just the basic crumple you get in GTA IV, the cars actually physically fall apart. I'm not just talking about the hood either. The wheels fall off sometimes, and I just had a fender break off of my car. THIS GAME IS NUTS! Edited September 17, 2013 by just-a-spaz
Justin80
Me too. What I'm not used to is this new ps3 controller. I dont really like the gas/brake buttons. But the game is great.
Nexstar
Said this all along. Rockstar hasnt disappointed, was never worried. The Driving, while not the most realistic, is hugely satisfying and soooo much fun, and when you fit a turbo to a car, that acceleration and engine noise is just orgasmic. Soo fun its silly. Lisha
Never played MCLA, so the driving's kinda new to me. Never played GTA on an xbox either, lol. Still loving the game though.
Bobbyleez
I can't even start on how much.... YOU'RE RIGHT! Damn it feels really responsive, you can still feel that GTA IV to it! +
suicidehummer
So bumpers and wheels can fall off, it's still less realistic than IV because it takes a full speed crash to even do that. Two cars hitting head on at 40 (combined speed of 80) would cause some serious damage, not just a medium dent and some scratches. Even IV wasn't as extreme as real damage. Anyone who couldn't drive because their car kept getting destroyed in IV was just a terrible driver.
just-a-spaz
To me, the cars in GTA IV seemed like one giant piece of bendy metal. Now they fall apart and dent like real cars. Yes, it's harder to damage them, but in GTA IV, I hated hitting things barely and having a messed up car. At least now your car will look better for a while longer. By the way... I just had a huge police chase and that was INTENSE. The police cars ram you off the road and you get to see the physics engine hard at work. Shoot a police driver that's chasing you and watch them go flying off the road, or watch your car go skidding off the road because a police cruiser rams your back end and spins you out of control. It was so much fun. I wanna do it again! Yeah, GTA IV was a good game, but this game steps it up 10 notches in every way. Yeah, the driving feels different, but play it for a bit and you'll start to see the nuances and you'll start to notice that they didn't get rid of the physics at all, the cars just grip the road better. Oh yeah, and on dirt and grass, the handling is way different. I guarantee if you play GTA V for a few days and go back and play GTA IV, you'll feel like you're driving on sheer ice all the time.
