Tooumas Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Hi, I've read few people posting about GTA V freezing on ps3 but they were not any help. So my game freezes every single time on exactly the same spot in first mission. I tried to clean dust with compressed air, deleted other games, put a fan blowing straight to air vents, nothing helps. The console was not hot at all. So I don't think that's the problem. And if there was a heat problem I don't think it would freeze on exactly the same spot every time. Just because you can blow air into the air ducts of the console, it does not mean that the console is better chilled: - Fan is too dirty - Air ducts are dirty - Thermal paste has dried up Since only the console helps to open up and really clean everything. Incidentally, I recommend getting a new thermal paste (for older consoles a bad thermal paste is applied, the color of the paste is white) apply. @edit: Have you the temperatures of CPU / GPU measured? @editedit: reinstall GTA? NickStone Posted September 18, 2013 Share Posted September 18, 2013 Clearing the 8-gig install file under 'Game Data' won't hurt your saved games at all. I do this all the time for games I don't play anymore, but I'm still able to reinstall those games and load up my saves (they're stored in a different location, under 'Save Data') Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
