Elemental716 Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Thought it would be cool to share our first "moment" in the game. That one unscripted event that can only happen in GTA. I was right on Lamar's tail as we entered into the Vinewood screening area. Workers scrambled and leaped out of the way as we sped through the narrow pathway. Amazingly no one was hit until near the exit where a worker jumped out of the way of Lamar only to jump right into the hood of my car head first. He bounced off the windshield and let out a painful screem that faded as I kept driving on. This immediately made me let out a satisfying giggle. A little further on I followed Lamar into an intersection where he took a sudden sharp right. I hit the hand brake to get the back end sideways and started my power slide through the intersection. As I clip a unexpecting ped I see a tanker crossing the intersection. With the ped still glued to my back left panel as I power slide. I pinch the ped in between my car and the tanker as it blows up spectacularly in slow motion. Killing the ped (if he wasn't already dead from the hard impact) and resulting In a failed mission. Tonesta Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 So after completing the first two missions with little alarm, I thought I'd take Franklin and go for a little walk. I head straight south from his house, stop at the barbers, stop at Grove Street but then decide I want to keep on going and see the ocean. So I carry on down to the docks and wander until I'm standing on the edge staring at the waves lapping beneath me. So at this point I think "Right, let's see what the underwater looks like" and I jump in for a swim. INSTANT 4*s! Still have no idea why - assume I'll find later in the game that I was next to a secret naval base (a la San Fierro) or something! Didn't end well for Franklin as my attempts to steal a police boat from four heavily armed cops, without having a gun, turned out to be a little over-ambitious. But I was grinning from ear to ear! Mcquiz Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Well I was doing the mission where you repo those 2 cars and when I got the cops after me I decided to use a gaping the in the railing to jump on the freeway. I landed on my roof, not damage done. If that isn't enough the when going for the Reposession mission I went into a strip club, when I was coming out I heard shots, ran for a block and saw cops driving past a black man's body. CasperRDG Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 My first fave moment was taking a trip to Grove St unarmed as it was super early in the game...seeing all them purple motha f*ckers and thinking this my f*cking street I gotta f*ck em over. So I see their super nice purple whip and think I'll rob that, that'll piss em off, so i jump in in it and get annihilated before I can even start the engine. He kill them both and steal a truck, a lot of traffic and people running. 2nd moment: Mission - I killed a lot of Ballas, then 2 cops in the heli, we jump the wall.. FrostyCat Posted September 17, 2013 Share Posted September 17, 2013 Somebody drove into me while I was taking a picture so I promptly executed them right there and then, attracting the attention of the cops. So I drove my car up a mountainous road and got slammed by several police cars chasing after me, and that plus several collisions with rocks meant my vehicle got annihilated. So I had to escape the police on foot, down a mountain, in the pouring rain that had suddenly formed. It took me at least ten minutes to get off this mountain on foot while trying to avoid being detected and subsequently shot at over and over again, and by the time I eventually got back to a road I was dangerously close to death. I don't know, to some people it would be a pretty dull moment but to me it just felt so exciting and tense to be escaping on foot in the pouring rain with no access to vehicles anywhere at all. On the beach I see a bunch of people gathered together, so I head over there to check out what was going on. Turns out it was a bunch of kids partying. An argument broke out between Franklin and one of the guys for some reason (I just wanted to be friendly and say hello) "Do I have to like, prove my manhood here, then so be it" says the kid.
