Ideal driving mechanics

Since GTA 4 was too boaty and hard to drive but with good damage, it took a while to get used to it and GTA 5 complete different arcade fast paced with not to many differences between the cars(most of them drive fast) and damage reduced to the point where you dont care at all what you hit at long speeds. A lot of fans hated both of the driving style, so whats your ideal driving that would enjoy the majority of fans. You can offer another game for example.

 

Personally an upgrade on GTA 4 driving mechanics, making it feel a little slight boaty and increase damage visuals. You should be afraid when driving fast, also few cars should feel so fast and paced to have a sense when your driving them or stealing them. In GTA 5 80% of the cars drive pretty fast.

I thought the GTA IV car handling was great and I would have preferred it if they had left it alone. The biggest bee in my bonnet is that this carries onto the car damage. Now that the cars accelerate faster and (seem to) have a higher top speed they had to go back to an inferior model where anything in between a tiny bump and a major smash will dent a panel in the same way. I can see there's still a vestige of the previous system which bends the chassis in GTA V, but it takes several major accidents to get to the point where a tyre is wedged so that it cannot move. I'll have to spend some more time playing to see if it does end up beating GTA 4 for me.

Models I would prefer to the actual GTA5:

 

1) GTA4 mechanics exactly as they were

 

2) GTA5 mechanics with "slidey cars cheat" permanently activated

 

3) Gran Turismo mechanics

 

4) Forza Motorsport mechanics

 

**I like my driving to be challenging so anythig else than these are trash to me. Sorry if missed other good ones.

Current system is horrible, fells as cheap as Saints Row. GTA ROW 5.
