[HUGE SPOILER] Mission regarding character from a previous GTA

Hint 1:

 

The previous character was a protagonist

 

 

Of an expansion (eg: LCS, VCS, TLAD, TBoGT) rather than a main game (eg: III, VC, SA, IV)

 

Hint 2:

 

They die

One of V's Protagonists killed them

Trevor Philips kills Johnny Klebitz

 

 

Commentary:

 

I'm dumbstruck. I can't believe that the "previous character appearance" resulted in a death of a previous protag. Not only that but it happened so early in the game without warning or background of the events leading to the death of this character. He died so easily, no ambulance to save him like he would expect in Liberty City. Rockstar leave the body behind to make sure the player knows well and truly that he's dead and add some more rounds in to be sure. No room for interpretation like Maria at the end of GTAIII. No dignity in the way he was killed except the "honor" of being killed by another Protag.

 

 

 

In a way, I understand why Rockstar did it. Johnny represents the exact opposite of what Trevor is. If Rockstar could have killed John Marston (or his son) they would have but obviously that would be impossible to fit into the story line of RDR. Some people hate Johnny the most, particularly IGN gave him a bad review as "unlikable" but I have no idea why. Is it because he is too nice for GTA?

 

 

 

Personally, I found him to be the most decent GTA protagonist, and smart in the way he handles business, but incredibly stupid for loving that Ashley whore (which eventually gets him killed) which makes no sense in comparison to the rest of his intelligence. He was (obviously judging by my avatar) my favourite as I related to him the best. Maybe the fact that we are both Jewish gives me some bias towards him, I hope that future GTAs contain likeable Jewish characters who don't die (And characters of other ethnicities too, maybe an Asian character in HD universe).

 

 

 

Well mission accomplished Rockstar, Trevor is a stone cold psychopath who so easily kills who I presume was (judging by their closeness in the scene) his friends so easily.
