Is it the game or my crappy controller?

I've been using the same SixAxis Remote since I bought my PS3 in 2007 and I'm noticing that when I walk in V the camera always rotates to the side view. This is soooo annoying as I can't see where I'm running!

 

Is the game supposed to do this or is my right joystick just messed up? Haha.
