TheJedi
I logged out last night as Michael in his house during the day and today when I came home from work and started playing, Michael loaded at the Perrera Beach Motel at night. I can guarantee no one else played it. Pretty cool immersion.

Exact same thing happened to me, after Chop same place and different clothes, strange not sure if its a bug or not. davetopper
Forumers have asked how we dress our characters. I added that it really doesn't matter because these fellas wear what they want and do what they want. It's all good, makes it interesting.
SnapChap
Yes, the idea is that the characters keep on living their lives without you being there. It's why when you switch characters you see the next character doing something (for example, I once switched from Michael to Trevor while Trevor was in the middle of throwing someone off a bridge). MarkGTAV
Happened to me at Franklin's too. I raised it in a separate thread but most people said it had never happened to them and it was discarded.
JonRenemy
Everyone's saying "immersion" but when I Quick Save I always load exactly the same as I left it. So if I'm right, it means normal saving "in a bed" means the game moves the characters along offline (so to speak) and quick saving freezes the state its in? I've only ever quick saved so this must be why
riskyj
Happens to me all the time. Left Trevor somewhere, when I next played he was somewhere completely different and woke up in a bin! I think it definitely adds to the 'immersion' factor. It's just very annoying if you leave a character somewhere, and save i.e. just before starting a mission, only to come back and the character is on the other side of the map. saintsrow
To the OP: Get used to it. That statement applies to everything on this forum. We could just replace the entire forum with a single web page that says, "GTAV. Get used to it." and save a lot of typing. Not being rude but I don't get what is so hard to understand about this. It was mentioned way before the release that when not playing as a character they will continue a routine so to speak. As far as I've noticed the only way to divert that is a quick save like another poster mentioned. RockstarGROUPIE
Red XIII
Its just to give the illusion of them getting on with their daily lifes. If the game changed the clothes you put on your character, eventually the character will go back into the clothes you chose for him..
