Questions about street gang gameplay

I need answers. Cause i'm doubting very much if i should buy gta v.

 

I dont give a f*ck about graphics or if driving controls are smooth, no, none of that sh*t. My questions are:

 

- How many missions does invovle gangs?

 

- How much can i interact with other gangs in the game?

 

- How much can Franklin interact with his fellow members in GSF.

 

- Is there any street gang features/mini games in the game ( like gang wars in gta sa)

 

- How much can the play interact with drugs? i know that you can smoke medical marijuana but i haven't heard anything about going around and selling other drugs etc.

 

From what i guess and have seen. I see none of this, sure i can go and harass some pissrags or ballsacks but meh

 

I remember when i read about V a long time ago, that the game was going to focus on commerce LS or something like that and not in the gang lyf. If there is nothing that will please me yet, i guess i will have wait for a expansion that will please me.

there are a few gang related missions. but gang culture is close to irrelevant on this game.

you shouldnt even consider Franklin a gang member to be completely honest. he's affiliated

If you instigate a fight with a rival gang, they will come after you like a pack of wolves. They appear as tiny red dots on the mini-map so you know where they are. They are all strapped, some with automatic weapons, so if you can somehow kill them all it's a good way to pick up weapons. You'll also have to worry about cops.

 

You can press R> on the directional pad (up to three times) to say canned phrases to people on the street. The first is usually somewhat friendly, the second tap is a bit aggressive, and the third tap usually gets the person (your gang or a rival gang) to drop his forty (or whatever he may be holding) and throw down.

 

Unfortunately I haven't made it very far at all mission-wise, so this may change, but I went down to Grove St. (tons of Ballas there depending on time of day) in a green gang car and they didn't react apart from staring me down. They do say things like "you're in the wrong neighborhood homie" etc, but I haven't seen them shoot at me based off of colors. As I said, that may change as the story progresses.

 

Franklin, so far, is not a gangbanger at all and I don't anticipate that to change. He does, however, get into sh*t because of Lamar. Lamar definitely is a gangster (and a complete idiot), and I wish I could play as him.

 

Overall, free roam gang activity is extremely improved from GTA IV, which was pretty much non-existent. Every time I've gone into Balla territory looking for a fight, I haven't made it out alive. Also, the hood seems very vibrant and there are tons of fat bitches to cold cock to the pavement.

As far as drugs go, no clue. All I've done is gotten drunk.

We just kidnapped and then released a Balla and that will probably escalate a war in the story.

I think to sum it up I would say similar to IV but better... not quite as cool as in III or SA but it is better than IV imho.Biggest thing for me is what was mentioned above where you can almost get like a wanted level with the gang if you mess with one of their members. I have never survived this unless I run away half through! Mara Bunta is absolutely brutal btw... killed me in maybe 2 seconds of constant fire!
