Can't Equip Weapons

I have the Special Edition that comes with some free weapons. I currently have the standard .45 cal pistol equiped, I go into the gun store and select the pistol .50, but when I leave the store I still have the .45 cal pistol equiped. Also, I can't equip the hammer from the gun store either.

 

EDIT I figured it out. I have to toggle left/right over the pistol/fists in my inventory. Now if only there was a way for me to delete this post. Hm...
