fryloq
*****I replayed the main story line and it will not let me play the mission "Blitz Play" unless I complete the 1st Franklin-Lester "Hotel Assassination" mission**** Is anyone else having this problem? It looks like Franklin sends a text message out to everyone and says he has to finish this job for Lester before they can continue.....

Was disappointed because I kept reading advice that it was wise to save all the Lester missions until the end. I've played other games where that was possible, thats why I ask.
JacoBee
so yesterday i bought some stocks ,i just pickd something that is once on bottom and once on top... I dont remamber the name but i bought for 1million with michael.. today i start up gta and look on it after hour of playing and there was 100% rise...i sold them for 2,1 millions... cksiz
You will have to play the first assassination mission because it has to do with a major part of the Franklin story. Save the rest though
alukard316
I just started to play yesterday. I bought Worldradio stock. I notice that the more i listen to that radio the stock rises. Even though that radio station sucks lol. The rise in stock was small. The times i checked it was between 2% - 4% increase over time. I only have little invested in that radio station since I just started playing the game and didn't have much cash to invest.

As for replaying mission, you do not earn the cash for the replaying part. I tried it. For example, you reply the Jewel story heist again, and they said the cut is 900k, you do not keep this 900k at all. Seriously, read the post above you. If you have a save you can go back to, then yes. But you can't go back in the same save and re-invest/get more money. mulder84
For the Bilkinton/Betta (Hotel Assassination mission), how long do you have to wait before Bilkinton shares go up again? I invested almost all of all 3 characters' money in them right after the mission (after it dropped to ~$120 per share), but instead of rising again, it kept dropping by about 50% (~$60 per share). Now I don't know whether to cut my losses (haven't moved for an ingame day or two), or just keep waiting. Now I only have about $1000-$2000 on hand per character (from about $100k for Michael), am I f*cked? Edited September 21, 2013 by mulder84
calebxx12
My biggest score has been investing in Redwood after Debonaire, when is is at like $56, I get over a 300% return. hpdark

Valdamirie
I was one of the early bloomers finishing the game b4 knowing about the L assassination mission ofc and I've tried everything to make money after finishing the game at 30+mil per character. After doing many tale tales about playing the stock market including going to the air port with a tank and blowing up 45 airplanes, 35 police choppers and around 100 police cars and escaping the scene... I've come to the conclution that the market goes up SPECIFICALLY according to what plays on the radio that day and the side quests like the guy who gives you the tip. (The stock will not go up unless you talk to him. I tested it going back on a save and waiting two days and the stock remained at 395$ and later after talking to him it capped at exactly 518.48 three different times. So right now I would say do the assassination missions after main story and then flip the money and buy that stock from the passenger (cant remember the name atm) and then go on michael and drive along the left coast of the map and he will spawn before you reach the top then drive him to the air port so that the stock rices up and then cash it. Canucks
The Hotel Assassination: Buy BetaPharma (Bet on the Bawsaq) before the mission The Multi Target Assassination: Buy Debonaire (DEB on LCN) before the mission The Bus Assassination:: Sell Vapid (VAP on the Bawsaq) before the mission but buy Vapid after the mission (i got a ~25% return) The Vice Assassination: Buy Fruit (before the mission FRT on Bawsaq I got ~145% return) The Construction Assassination: buy GoldCoast (GCD on LCN) before the mission (max I got was around ~82%) I have attached a screen shot for the returns on missions 3 and 4 and 5 Can you be more clear with Vapid...when you say sell before, your suggesting early on in the story to buy their stocks when low?? And i'm not playing this second.. deb/redwood are the same,or two separate stocks
AGNT009
Going to stop Lester missions ASAP. Last one I did was bus guy. With BAWSDAQ down because of R* Im screwing myself not being able to play those markets. I missed the memo where BAWSDAQ was a real online driven market, and if it crashes because of overload, you're screwed if you keep doing those missions. I thought our online lives were different from the main characters? So no matter how rich you are in single player, your online life starts poor again? Even if you're rich in SP, most arent going to spend their after story lives in SP, theyll be in MP. I came across stock giving bike guy in the rich neighborhood immediately southwest of golf course while I was casing driveways for cars to steel. Ive yet to get my email with stocks though, just did the dumptruck/towtruck cop swarming heist.

But I dont sit there listening either. I just play now while listening to "los alamos" station because thats the station for rich ppl lol. Balth
Well, I've been hard at this manipulation stuff over the last few days after finishing the main story line. And I don't get it. Unfortunately I was one of those poor souls that didn't connect the dots and just went on to complete the assassinations before the Big One. I did find the Cluckin' Bell Farm in Paleto Bay (the industrial complex by the rail tracks), and blew up about a million of their trucks while invested in various other fast food joints. Aaaaaaaaaaand nothing. If any of you others want to try it out, I suggest getting a 4x4 and just driving up into the mountains after blowing a truck up. Justin80
Are you freaking serious? Down over a quarter million dollars. Guess I did something wrong. Does this ever recover? FranklinDeRoosevelt
LOL ^ Nope. How can it recover if you've lost all that money, you bought the stocks and the money either goes down if stock price goes down or goes up, vice versa. toddfa
After thoroughly reading every post in this thread and googling many other sources I finally completed what everyone here is striving for. When I start any game I first go to the forums to see any tips. Luckily I saw that I needed to save the last 4 assasinations until the end! Here is what I did thanks to everyones help! Make sure to quicksave before you answer the phone just incase you make a mistake. You can always restart! Step 1: Invest in Debonaire before the mission. After the mission cash out of Debonaire once it peaks and then INVEST in Redwood until it peaks!!!! My Return= 300% Step 2: Invest in Fruit shares before the mission and cashout afterwards! My Return= 50% Step 3: Invest in Vapid AFTER you complete the mission. Cash out when you made your cut! My Return= 100% Step 4: Invest in Gold Coast Development before the mission and pullout afterwards! My Return= 80% Couldn't have done this without everyone else's help! Need some help please,,,,,,,, The "sabotage the rivals" tactic to win money in stock market is glitched for some, so it might not work. Gruppe 6 is Merryweather's competitor, Emu Airlines competes with FlyUS, and Up and Atom competes with the one Taco joint, etc. I don't have a full list, but I'm sure a simple google search or forum search should turn up what you need. Good luck!
