Poker2012chu
My current tactic: Waiting for Hijak stock to drop to like $5.50 a share, invest everyone, wait for it to go up, save, wait longer, save. If it goes down, revert to old save. In the mean time I just f*ck around looking for stunt jumps on my bike. Stock is currently up to $6.23, which is about 15% profit. Stupid question: is there a way to buy a stock in bulk instead of by share? It's a lot of button mashing to buy 300 $10 shares, or something like that, especially if you're going to buy thousands of stocks (if you want to do that GoldCoast trick mentioned above). FranklinDeRoosevelt
So let's say I finish the story, I then invest in maze bank, or ammu-nation, how do I get profit? Then you would want to take out the competition for those specific companies. Ex. Maze Bank, see if you can light up a Liberty Bank somewhere in Los Santos. Then check the stock fluctuation. Do i have to do that to rival companies that have interior'd shops?

Cyfun
Stupid question: is there a way to buy a stock in bulk instead of by share? It's a lot of button mashing to buy 300 $10 shares, or something like that, especially if you're going to buy thousands of stocks (if you want to do that GoldCoast trick mentioned above). I agree, it would be nice to have a button for buying as much as you can afford. But if you hold down the button it will go faster, and the longer you hold it, the faster it goes. I ended up selling out around $6.50 a share. Made about $150k over all three characters. I noticed something interesting, though: I had all three full invested in Hijak, and was playing as Franklin just f*cking around, checking my portfolio every few minutes. The stock took FOREVER to move, kept going down, took me probably 30 minutes IRL time before it actually went up. So I would f*ck around, wait for it to go up. If it went down too far, I'd reload my save. If it went up, I'd quicksave. Rinse and repeat. Finally peaked at about $6.30 a share. So I sold out Franklin, quicksaved, and switched to Trevor. But when I was Trevor, I saw the stock start spiking again. So I kept doing the savegame technique, got the price to peak around $6.40 a share, finally sold him out and saved. So then as Michael, I was pretty much ready to cash him out cause it was a pretty good return, but then I saw the stock start spiking AGAIN! Finally peaked around $6.54 a share before I sold him out. Just minutes after doing so, it spiked up to $6.70! So maybe I'm just seeing patterns in nothing, but it seems like when you have everyone invested, the stock either won't budge or will drop. I ran into this yesterday, Hijak stock was around $6.50 a share. I waited for it to get down to about $6.20 and bought it out with everyone. But then it just started dropping to about $6.00, and then fluctuated between that and $6.15. So I went back to before I'd invested and waited. Eventually saw the stock go down to $6.00, so I invested everyone in it again. And once again, it dropped below $6.00, down to about $5.75. So I went back and uninvested everyone again, got tired and went and did some races. With no once invested, I'd periodically check on the Hijak stock, and it would never drop close to $6.00 again. I don't know if today I just waited long enough or got lucky or if $5.50 was a true bottom for it. Edited September 19, 2013 by Cyfun
Mr.Zyre
I don't know if this is true but: BAWSAQ is powered by Rockstar Social Club. Hassebass
Buying the golf club shouldn't be a problem, i did two of the assassin missions(redwood was the last one i did) before i finished the story. I then took my ~25m on each character and bought fruit stocks, did the assassination mission related to that stock, waited a bit and sold them. Ended up with about 40m on each character. I took that and invested in Vapid stock after i did the assassination mission related to that stock, i bought when it was low and sold when it went up again. I now sit with about 90m on each character and I am about to do the last assassination mission, and if it pays off in the 80% range i should have enough to buy the golf course, if not I'll have to toy a bit with other stocks. It should be even easier if you save ALL the assassination mission until the end.

acemafia04
Anyone else help a guy get his bike back as Michael and then get a sh*t load of free stock in that animal place? Glad to see good deeds don't always go unrewarded haha. Yep! This is precisely why you should help all the random event folks that you can. Usually the purse-grabs are pretty useless, but when someone gets their bike or car stolen, those will benefit you later. Just be sure and sell the stock asap. When this guy gave me $100k in shares of AnimalArk, I immediately went in to sell it and it'd already dropped to $99,000. you need to be online to get bawsaq. but from what i've seen the rates are completely unpredictable. and because you've missed the first 24 hour window. you lucked out like i did. bawsaq is no use to us (most share's being over 1k atm) i havent even bothered looking at it again. then again im still waiting for vangelico shares to drop below 100 f*cking hell, Rockstar is pissing me off. As much as I like the idea of an online economy that involves other players, it should be separate from my singleplayer game. Especially since the online crap is apparently unstable as hell. Hey, any idea where to find the stolen bike guy? Or is it random location for each game?

SprunkJunkie
Heres what I've been doing, look for stock thats current price is slightly higher than its last price, it signifies that its on the rise and generally will go up more, I usually sell once I've made a decent profit. You won't make a billion in one stock but you will steadily make gains. This method requires checking your portfolio regularly, often, every chance you get even! Understand this is gambling and you can lose big if your not alert to changes in stock price. Theres always a risk involved! Poker2012chu
I'm wondering if stock doesn't move as much if you have more money invested in the stock? I need to experiment. Someone mentioned that stocks might not move much if all three characters are investing. Whether that only applies to more than one character investing in the same company or investing period, I don't know. Maybe you can try having only one character invest in stocks at a time, sell, other character invests, sells, etc. I don't even know if this is true, but it's worth a shot.
