JimJazeever
HOLY SPOILERS. Seriously, the title should have spoiler tag and the spoilers need to be blacked out. EDIT: Since the game is released, spoiler tags on posts won't be stressed. Only adding "[spoilerS]" to the TOPIC title will suffice. Yea I just love them Spoilers ) Specially on my BMW x5 XD
ImBoss450
I have a question. If you buy a stock, will it have a chance of affecting one(s) that you already own?
[enforcA]
Post your stock tips here! ... Any other good tips? Sure. Watch the market, look for the stocks with the lowest values. A low value = more papers to buy = a higher multiplier = a win/win situation. Now the most important -> the quick save feature! Every 30 seconds to 1 minute (or so ..) the stock values change. Refresh the stock market overview by switching between the tabs, going forth and back .. all the time. If you bought one already: When the value of your favorite stock paper increases -> quick save it. When the value of your favorite stock paper decreases -> load the previously saved game. Do this (Repeat the above) till you have the value you wanted. Or if you want to decrease the value of your favorite stock to its lowest limit (there seems to be one for each stock, i wasn't able to get it to 0.01, for example: Bilkinton (BIL), the lowest i could get it to was 3.42, it's below the old standard "minimum" value but it's still not 0.01) just quick save it when it decreases and reload it when it increases. The only problem with this method: It's time expensive. Edited November 17, 2013 by [enforcA]
CommTwilight
Just out of general interest, has anyone managd to make he $2.1 million from epsilon. Just after you do the father and son mission and are able to join epsilons website, make sure you do all the missions for them and the very last one where you have to transport the money you can actually steal it. Now you have to invest in hem almost $100,000 to get to this point. But if you manage it then you can take he $2.1 milion and invest very well. SeaWallTx
Im on the Hostel assassination mission, and your right i cant find any company called Betta? Has any1 got any idea what to invest in before this mission? Betta is Betta Pharmaceuticals(BET) on the BAWSAQ. Pioneers of medical breakthroughs like Mollis and the Alco Patch, Betta Pharmaceuticals has tried to keep the American people thin, happy and hard for over 30 years. This stock price rises dramatically (40%-50%) after the Hotel Assassination mission for a short time.

burner12
What's the best stock to invest in? Because I've tried the trick where you invest all your money in 1 stock and wait a few in game days then sell all. It never works for me. I only have 2mil. How do you make money fast via the market? HolographicBunny
So in my game (got it for Christmas, now doing prep work for the big one, gonna get at least one ending before I start over, just kind of jumped in for an honest playthrough first time around) I noticed that almost immediately FlyUS dropped over 600% from about $35/share to about $5/share when I bought in (the ticker claims it got as low as 23c/share.) While in real life this would be a VERY bad sign, I guessed that there would be no provision in the in-game world for a company tanking and being replaced by a more efficient competitor, so I've been rather banking on it, thinking it'll eventually get back up to at least 1/4 of its original worth. I've put about $500,000 of the $700,000 or so Franklin has earned thus far into it (for example) and it's hovered between $2-4 from since before the Lester missions became available until now. I'm going to take about a $1,000,000 hit between the three of them if I liquidate now. I'm wondering if this was unique to that playthrough, and if not, can I expect it to rebound at all? To those inclined to tell me to target EmuAir, thanks for the thought, but all the money I would've used to buy a hangar at LSI got spent on stock, and Emu planes seem to be far less common than FlyUS. Finding and destroying them on the run just isn't really feasible. Thoughts, anyone? Edited December 27, 2013 by HolographicBunny

Choco Taco
Buy Badger now! Did anyone take my advice? Yesterday, Badger was $3.64. Today, it's $12.98. You could have nearly quadrupled your money in under a day.

HolographicBunny
I don't have access to the BAWSAC, due to Wifi issues, so I've had a good chance to mess around with the LCN, and I'm starting to get very suspicious of the algorithm involved. In almost 70 hrs and maybe 50 transactions, I've sold one company one time for a little less than one percent return. Every other stock I've held heavily has slowly snaked down for as long as I've held it, no matter how near to its recorded low it was when I bought it. As soon as I sell, it seems to return to its normal swing, with the obvious exceptions of LifeInvader and FlyUS (although interestingly enough, FlyUS prices stayed in a holding pattern even after the radio said the strike had ended. I waited almost an in-game week before getting fed up. As soon as I'd sold my 400,000 or so shares of it, the price had tripled by that in-game night.) I'd hate to think R* was pushing this trading thing so hard, to the point it's the only viable way to get substantial quantities of additional cash (relative to late game terms) besides the limited heists, only to have the market deliberately fluctuating against my personal portfolio. [sidenote: Also, I didn't realize it until it was too late to capitalize, but I am pretty sure stock in Bob Mulet spikes if you foil the Bob Mulet stickup and return the cash.] Edited December 31, 2013 by HolographicBunny
