epicluca
So I don't get the whole "don't install the second disc" thing, does it mean install one then play the other? Is there a specific one to install? Also please don't spam this topic with "congrats on first thread" because I really don't give a f*ck I just want to know about the question I asked

TWA B747
The XB360 version comes on two disc - a mandatory install disc (D1) and the play disc (D2). You have to install the content from D1 to your Xbox hard drive (hence MANDATORY install) and D2 is the disc that you actually have to physically have in your Xbox in order to play the game. On the Xbox you have the ability to also install the contents of D2 onto your hard drive. If you install the content of D2 to your hard drive then your Xbox wont have to actually spin the disc during gameplay because it is reading all the information from the hard drive. This really cuts down on the wear and tear on your Xbox because the disc drive doesn't have to be working during the HOURS that you will be playing. Now the problem - according to some sources there has been some issues with texture pop-in during the opening scene of the game for those who installed the content of D2. I watched the comparison video and it is noticeable, but to be honest id say the pros definitely outweigh the cons. Id rather install D2 and save my Xbox from melting and just live with the minor pop-in during the opening scene. Besides im sure R* will patch this. Also, as far as I know the problem has only been reported for the opening scene. Haven't heard anything about pop-ins occurring during gameplay from this issue. (sorry for my bad english) You don't need an official microsoft hdd. I got my HDD from China and in the case was a 120GB Western Digital Notebook drive. So its good. rdamerico
rdamerico
Sure I can. But I've an External HDD from Western Digital, suports usb 3.0, 500gb. If you guys tell me this can handle it, I'll install this HDD on my Xbox. I don't know with guys know but here in Brazil this Official Xbox 320gb HDD cost at least $ 157,92, cost's double than buy one at ebay.com! Thanks for support!
