Hakosuka
Just the city part of the map is bigger than all the GTA 4 islands combined.
Poker2012chu
Did the city end up bigger than LC? Is Los Santos bigger than Skyrim? I don't know about Skyrim, (the whole land area in V is certainly bigger than Skyrim, don't know about the urban areas though), but the city and suburb area of Los Santos is bigger than GTA IV's land area, but not by that much. GTAboob
LS is amazing! (Don't have the game) but from watching all the streams, R* put so much detail in the city and it so alive and everything is moving, and it's huge! LA is my second favorite US city btw so that's why I'm extra hyped to explore the city!

UrbanTheEmcee
Honestly, the city is beautiful, but getting across it feels way quicker than Liberty City. Maybe it because it isn't split up into Island. IDK The country side feels massive though. I almost think they could've cut down one Mountain and added another town. or just added more to Los Santos. Regardless of all that, this game will not let you down. Edited September 15, 2013 by UrbanTheEmcee

TechNoir87
Los Santos is much bigger than I expected, I love how wide the roads are compared to Liberty City (streets are so narrow, I'm always crashing into another car, annoying), I just love the way Los Santos feel, it's very well put together. He also said LS doesn't have the vibe it had in San Andreas but that s his opinion and what do you think about that ? LS from GTA V or LS from GTA San andreas ? ArcherTheGreat
The wider roads justify for the smaller number of roads on the map. Overall the city is definitely more detailed and bigger than GTA 4. The only reason why it may seem quick to get across the city is because of the new driving mechanics that allow you to accelerate to top speed in under 5 seconds

GTA V Los Santos > San Andreas Los Santos Especially the ghetto areas and downtown.
