There are more than 69 missions.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but I played the game for 5-6 hours at a friends house today and the 69 missions are the main storyline however strangers now count as separate missions as well with completion goals and medals. Strangers can also have more than one mission for the player, one of the strangers I met had me do three missions for him. A good few of these are full missions.

 

So missions so far are the 69 missions that are part of the main story. There are 20 strangers/freaks in the game. Each of those strangers have at least one missions but most of them have multiple missions with an over arching story-line for each stranger.

 

So main missions plus strangers missions gives us 89++ missions at the very least.

 

Stranger missions are also more in-depth than GTA IV and those I played were proper missions.

 

I'm sorry if this has been posted already but I figured it was worth sharing for those that didn't know.

How in-dpeth is a main storyline mission? Much more than GTA IV missions? I don't care about 69, but the missions and story need to be in-depth and interesting.

I've only seen three random events so far:

 

Mugging - guy mugs lady at ATM machine

Theft and car chase - guy robs a person and takes off in car, chase him, take the money or give it back

Store robbery - two guys rob a store (liquor store or 24/7 convience store) when you walk in to it you can chase them, kill them and take the money or give it back for a reward

 

There are 14 different random events in the game.

In the guide it says there are 82 missions (without counting those 20 stranger missions) So I'm gonna guess the big heists don't count as main missions in the stat menu but the guide considered them primary missions

That could be possible, the game lists 69 main missions on the stats screen that I saw but it's possible there are more than 69, I didn't really play any story missions as I wanted to wait until I got my personal copy of the game.
