For me, it was San Andreas. I used to play alot of Super Mario 64 back when I was a kid so I didnt experience much of "open world" it didn't seem that much of a reality to me. Then San Andreas came and I was all "whoa" and my mind was open to so much possibility's. For people waiting for the game and people owning the game alike. Does it re-birth that feeling for you? the game seems so open and diverse compared to anything else we've had, then there's online coming in october. So does it bring back your child innocence again? For thoose begging to ask. I was born in 1995 and my start to gaming was around the 2000's my family wasnt very rich and most only nintendo products, then around 2002 we got a ps2, then when san andreas game... But honestly what is going to hold back that feeling is the fact that i have seen so many streams and complaining that its going to bring the wow factor down a little. Also, I had no expectations with GTA lll, everything seemed perfect at the time. GTA V, I'm picky, and OCD, and have noticed things that bug me. As well as lack of features that I had hoped were in. That thing was incredible back then. Then read about GTA 3 in a magazine and.... Oh my! So with where games have moved to in general. Holy bananas! I can't imagine things getting better. TheRealBars Posted September 15, 2013 Share Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) It was for me.. i spent an hour after the first mission.. just riding around the hood on a BMX, visiting the 24/7's, LTD's and liquor stores.. I was (Still am) amazed with the world they built. Haven't run out of anything to do. Missions are on a high level as well. Lock n' Stock Posted September 15, 2013 Share Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) I don't know. I mean, seeing GTA III in action for the first at 7 years old was a pretty incredible at the time. A big open city where you could run around stealing cars, run over pedestrians, shoot cops, do missions e.g. It was insane. GTA V will no doubt be impressive, but I don't think any future installment can give me that first-time "wow" factor I got with GTA III.
