Was it like this with previous GTAs?

yeah, there were negative jerks calling GTA IV the worst thing ever because of the car handling, because it was a "Downgrade" from San Andreas which to this day some people will defend as the highlight of the series, and by next week all this BS over GTA V will be lost Like tears in the rain.

 

people are spoiled, but as someone who's about to enter the industry i can tell you that what they've created with GTA V is nothing short of astounding, it's hard work to make a game like this, and R* has done it more than a dozen times, in the last 15 years, not a single game they have put out has ever been crap, which is mind blowing for any game company. And all these naysayers want to bash the game just because the driving looks different from the last game, or because they listened to half baked speculation as if it was fact? They have only themselves to blame for their "Disappointment" not R*.

Short answer is YES.

IV was the worst.

 

Kids were less spoiled in the VC and SA days when it comes to videogames so no one whined if their favorite feature was left out because they understood why.

 

 

 

Long story short, who cares what others think? Their tantrums wont effect my opinion of this legendary game.

Oh yeah, it was like this lol I was only here before IV. Not as bad though from what I remember. On the week of IV's release, people were crying about fingerless gloves and all that irrelevant sh*t. The majority of those complaints, came from forumer's who had just joined that week, and only jumped on to piss off other's (sound familiar).

 

The leaks though, weren't as bad imo. Sure there was a leak, but not as many people were streaming there stuff on youtube and dailymotion.
