It was fun in the beginning since it's an engaging game with a great storyline, side-mission, activities and challenges, including a great map, but then there was the lagging issues...and also as time passed the A.I. started feeling a bit stale. I replayed it a few days ago and honestly, I wasn't that into it anymore. This is only my opinion, though. One thing Bethesda did was introduce Elder Scrolls online some time after Skyrim was released, which Rockstar is also doing with GTAO. Sure the go anywhere do anything is good, but it seems to me that Oblivion was more complex, and the combat is simply very clunky(I'd like it if they could polish it up a whole lot more and take some pointers from a game like Zelda or other hack n slash games). Do you think Dark Souls or Dragon's Dogma didn't get the same attention because they weren't as good? Bullsh*t, it was because they weren't as easy and accessible for everyone to finish it. Skyrim was a step down from Oblivion; only improvement was the graphics. Oblivion had amazing storylines and quests and don't forget the huge cities that actually felt like cities and not villages. But like someone said there isn't much replay value to it. And I did get bored of it after a few months. I'm still probably not even 50% done with it.
