Day one patch!

So there is a lot of negativity surrounding the game at the moment, I refuse to make any judgements on the game until I personally play it.

 

My question is do you think there will be a day one patch, if so what do you think it will implement?

Im starting to conclude there will be a day one patch that will open up ALOT of things and fix some stuff that rockstar left unfinished on purpose in order to punish people who play early copies. When you install your game on the 17th it will automatically download the patch from XBL or PSN and then you will have the full game. Unlike the unfinished versions people are playing now and complaining about. Seems possible to me but idk we will see in a couple days.

Tough luck. And also who is there that has a gaming console but no internet? That's ridiculous. The number is probably so low that rockstar doesn't even worry about it. And plus the game is playable its just not the whole complete game. Kind of like games that have mandatory install disks.

There will be no patch and I am glad these children are squirming in their seats as the days get nearer. Nothing like watching videos of sh*t for a year and then coming out three days vefore release to complain about driving like they just changed it a few days ago.

 

In fact I am getting a kick out of watching these children throw fits. They knew the driving changed, it was painfully obvious it wasn't the same in ALL of the videos that had cars in them.

 

All I can say is the game is f*cking great, and everyone complaining has not even played the game. Because 90% of the complaints aren't even valid. There are things to complain about, for sure. But most of the sh*t people spew here are literally 100% WRONG, not just a difference of opinion but flat out completely wrong. Trust me, the game is f*cking fine I have been playing it since thrusday. If there were "major" problems don't you think I would be bitching non stop? Or anyone else who has played it would? No we are scarcely found here because...... We are off enjoying GTA V.

 

No need for a day one patch, no need at all. The game runs amazingly stable, looks f*cking fantastic for a console game, and has so much more going on than IV could even possibly think to have going on for consoles.

 

In other words, do not listen to the f*ck faces who have no clue what they are talking about. They judge the game off some sh*tty recording for less than a minute of some random sh*t and they are suddenly an expert. sh*t I forgot we are on the internet, that sh*t happens every day.

Impossible, although i wish this was true, but this would punish people who have no online.

You expect BeamNG physics on a console game with the size and scope of GTA V? Next gen, I would expect GTA to handle the most up to date tech for things like this. The game is using the current gen consoles as the lead platform, so if it can't be done on that hardware we won't see it. But I think the driving damage is fine, if you hit a corner and slam your tire up it has a hard time spinning. I will take these damage physics over IV's where half your car could just compress and still be drivable at near top speeds. GTA IV car damage was terrible, GTA V is just aight. Neither are spectacular or even good, just meh at best. But if we had cars folding up realistically on 360 with 8-15 other cars doing the same, the consoles would literally just melt.

 

Sadly, not even the PC or next gen versions (which will be more than able to handle those damage physics) will get them. Since it is going to be centered around the Online, they can't just have completely different games on different platforms while claiming the games are the same, yaknow?

 

I would bet we see these types of physics in the next installment though, as there will be no more 10 year old hardware being used to develop games that should be using the PC as their lead development platform.

Are people seriously deluded enough to think there'll be a day 1 patch for anything except minor bug fixes? Why the hell would they patch anything based off of a bunch of moaning kids who think there might be a problem based off of the streams they watched or the copies they (mostly) downloaded?

Tonnes of idiots were moaning about the driving in IV when it launched. They they patch it? NO. And now these same morons are bitching because the driving isn't like it was in IV.

They aren't going to implement a day 1 patch to add more features on the basis of a handful of people that somehow managed to get their game early. There are millions of pre-orders out there unfulfilled, only then can they receive proper feedback. If there is a day 1 patch, it'll be to fix any major bugs that may have occurred.
