Rockstar investigating amazon due to early shipping

According to a article in the metro anyway. Rockstar are alarmed that amazon sent the game out early. Some people reportedly received the game 4 days early! They are also looking into shops in Spain and France who (stupidly) announced they would be selling it before the official release date.

It's a topic about the possible sh*tstorm coming to the trusted retailers that broke a verbal agreement. It's not a topic asking people what they think of the physics

Bullsh*t, they wouldn't be in fear of anything, especially when it's well known the bitches said IV's handling sucked. I liked it, I will like GTA V too as its got realistic handling for the right cars.

Not all of them. Apparently the first batch of gameplay leaks were from the states where a box or two of the game was liberated from a store room somewhere and sold on the net. Some from other European retailers to.

Yes they did, they showed a part where franklin easily gets by traffic and even then people complained it wasn't realistic or whatever. If you don't want the game, don't buy it then -_- it's Simple

True but they had all the other retailers hold it back till the 16th which I didn't agree with.. I cancelled mine from simplygames coz of it when they sent emails out saying all online retailers will be doing the same and amazon send it out early and is the cheaper place i could have bought from seems a bit unfair.

Not all of them. Apparently the first batch of gameplay leaks were from the states where a box or two of the game was liberated from a store room somewhere and sold on the net. Some from other European retailers to.

 

And 2 days ago released on torrents so add over 1000 people too.

Yeah but the driving falloff has OBVIOUSLY made an impact among the community, so its a relevant point to the discussion of Rockstar being mad about early releases. Dont post a thread on a PUBLIC forum if you dont respect the publics OPINIONS.

Yea I posted this news in Launch section but no one gave a sh*t.

 

These things will happen.. leaks will happen.. early release will happen. Rockstar should know better. They cant control the game once it leaves their offices.

 

All I can say about that is... Rockstar should just let it go. Half of people have gotten their copies anyways, I hope they dont interfere in the process now.

 

They can sue Amazon after release for all i care.

Hmmm, It could be interesting - R* is hardly a small time publisher and they would have the might to hurt even the largest of retailers. Would be interesting to see if they (Amazon) were blacklisted from selling VI in the future and stock replenishments of V for now....

I think if you pre order the game you should be able to get it early through a download service much like radiohead do with there albums. You pre-order the physical thing and to tide you over till its in your hands they allow you to download the files. Something similar can't be that hard to implement on games consoles. The only problem I can see is if you order from somewhere like GAME or GameStop. Maybe a data base of email addresses linked to your console of choice which allows a one time download pre physical copy release date?

Well maybe not that but since gaming is going towards 24/7 online they could simply implement a check that disable alot of the game before the release.

Or they could just get rid of the damn retailers and sell their sh*t on their one warehouse allowing all payment methods :D
