Double Standard for Critique vs Praise

When faced with criticism of the game, a common reaction among fan boys is to (attempt to) discredit that persons knowledge.

 

For example: Person A says that the time, effort, and data spent on having three protagonists should have been used to improve the rest of the game.

 

Person Fan will likely mention that Person A is not a developer and has no business passing judgement on that aspect of the game.

 

Meanwhile,

 

Whenever other non-developers mention how the three protagonist system is awesome and was the best way to develop the game...Person Fan sees nothing wrong with their judgement and opinions...

Lol it's true, I noticed something similar with "I've played for x hours heres my review" threads. If it's positive, then people are happy to have the news, negative and there's no way they have the game.

 

For the record, I'm happy with everything I've seen so far with the game, reserving judgement until I play

It's more the quality of the post.

 

For example a well thought out cohesive post holds more merit than "GTAV suxxx r*=faillllll!!!!111111 lulzzzzz"
