Campaign to return the old cars

They should bring back the cars from GTA2 and make it top-down to satisfy my sense of nostalgia. Reliving the past incessantly is the new cutting edge.

To be honest, there are so many freaking cars in the game that I hardly see the same cars on the same road. Though I agree with a few of those cars, would have fit the LS theme really well (PMP600 I am looking at you).

 

But they have something like 200+ cars in the game already lol, but then again more variety never hurt anyone

 

Maybe later on there will be the dreaded DLC "Classic Cars Pack". Now on Microsoft Marketplace for an arm, leg and one eye ball (Kidding, but the joke is that they charge arm and leg for DLC that should be IN the game. EFLC is DLC, weapon packs and car packs are being greedy pricks)

 

Blista Compact

Not sure if it was the compact, but there is a Balista "something or other". I was cruising down South LS and came across a hatchback that I stole and saw the words Balista and the follow up text was ruined by police smashing into me. I remember it handling like a goddess though.

That's a really dim statement; nobody is asking for change, we're asking for old models to join the current ones.

 

Exactly! There are already 190+ cars in the game, why the hell do we need more. What is so bad about change? The cars in past GTA's should mostly remain in past GTA's. I personally want new stuff in each GTA which comes out. Not the same cars from previous games. Of course, I wouldn't mind having them in, but Rockstar can only put so much into a game. It's already the most expensive game in history...

We're only asking for a better mix of old and new. Having 42 of the cars/ bikes from IV missing is a bit much.

??? I honestly feel most cars from IV should return simply to make the environment feel more realistic. I'd prefer to have a lot of cars in the game, different generations of cars because why not? We have two Cavalcades, two Oracles, and a few others generations of cars in V already. What would be wrong with bringing back the Blista Compact, Hakumai, Dukes, etc. What would be wrong with bringing back the Jester? The Elegy was brought back and it was modernized. The Jester could simply be brought back as a Supra or hell an LFA!

The biggest knock-off was the fact they've removed many Choppers from the game when L.A is famous for their motorcycle culture, from 13 in GTA IV TLAD to 3 in GTA V.

Otherwise, no, I don't want those in these games no matter how much I liked them. Maybe a few ''oldtimers'' that resembe them and are old cars in the GTA world, but that's it.

Likely they'll do what Turn10Studios did and add them as DLC for a charge. Though Rockstar doesn't always charge for extra things as evidenced with MC:LA's South Central Map Pack. So maybe we will get cars as DLC in the future. I don't see why not, either add some old cars or add in some new basic cars.

Yeah true, that's what happened with Forza Horizon. But in the end at least you got some cars you wanted that didn't make it in day one.

Yeah true, that's what happened with Forza Horizon. But in the end at least you got some cars you wanted that didn't make it in day one.

I wouldn't be whining either, quite a few of the cars still are quite enjoyable today as I play IV and its DLC. I just want to see a better mix of new and old models.

This has nothing to do with entitlement. It's paying consumers making a perfectly reasonable request. GTA V actually has less sedans than GTA IV, I don't see the issue with wanting a few more to return.

Can you understand that time passed since previous gta games and new cars were made in the GTA world just like in real World. Also there is Z-Type from GTA2, thats f*cking awsome imo.

You're right that it doesn't sit perfectly with the entitlement statement, it's more an observation of an overall "it's not how I want it" and "it was in IV, so I want it in V" attitude from a lot of kids on here.

 

There are still more vehicles than before, new varieties to try, and bringing back old ones to satisfy a select few isn't really going to happen in the sense of it being given as free extra content. I can see them possibly releasing it as DLC, but I'd be surprised if anyone was happy to pay for it.

 

Besides, those that want to customise their GTA experience will buy it for the PC and load the mods that appeal to them, and I'm sure all the classics will be available alongside their real-world counterparts.
