Making money by stealing cars?

First of all - this is my first GTA (CE) I'm getting on tuesday. I have never played GTA, so please be kind if this is a dumb question.

 

Can you make money by stealing cars? Bringing them to your garage and selling them... I'm just curious, if this is a one option to make more money.

I'm pretty sure you can, almost all GTA's had that feature in some way or another.

 

Don't have the game though, just speculation.

in previous gta games there was one option like this, you go out and steal cars and drive them to the buyer. i hope this is in GTA V!!

Thanks for the info . I was wondering the same exact thing , always loved stealing cars & driving them down to the Shipyard for an easy couple grand .
