For anyone who has played the game, could you confirm if the OPTION to turn on 'Classic' controls has returned? This has been bothering me for months now, and I really hope it has returned in the same form that was implemented in IV, as I prefer the buttons rather than the triggers for accelerating/braking. mixjah Posted September 15, 2013 Share Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) first of all: i don't have the game, so i don't know anything for sure... look here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/591334-controls-for-yall/ it says "control type: standard" so i'm pretty sure there's another option, most likely classic. however..i remember one guy saying something about how it's not possible to remove the acceleration from R2 on ps3. don't know if that's true...i hope it's not as i'm with you on that, i'd really like to have classic controls. I don't even understand why they would do this, as the layouts on the PS3 + 360 controllers are identical, just the left analogue and d-pad are positioned differently Pretty sure that's just a rumour. Ash_735 Posted September 18, 2013 Share Posted September 18, 2013 This game uses like EVERY button twice, I think trying to keep the classic controls would have been near impossible. Also, the guy above, Rockstar have done some major work on their sound in this game, The engine revs according to how much pressure you're pressing, which is a neat detail, it's a lot more specific than GTA IV's version.
