Question about TRAINS!

Can anybody send me a link to a video/stream with somebody driving a train? I've been on some streams but most people just drive around the city and get killed by police....

I have never seen freight stop, i didnt seen passenger trains, just the metro like trains, and you cant drive those , sad

That's a very bad move from rockstar :*(, why did they even bother putting trains in the game if they only let us drive it during a mission?

Why did Rockstar even bother putting trees in the game if they won't let us climb them?

Stupid question.

Because in most or all gta games we could enter trains, and it would be stupid not to able to do that in gta 5, THATS WHY!

Have you tried going to the train yard and getting into one that way?

I haven't got the game yet, still waiting for it to arrive around 19th.

Holy sh*t dude, calm down.

Why would you enter a freight train anyway? Aside from the cab, there isn't much to ride around in. And as far as driving it goes, it should be out of the question, seeing as:

1. It takes a while to get a train up to speed and even longer to stop

2. Trains, in case you haven't noticed, are fixed on a rail. As such, their movement is limited to where the tracks go

Maybe because some people like to enjoy every small detail of the game? Trains are fun because 1: they are invincible 2: good to get away from the police 3: fun to drive 4: easy way to travel, do i need to give more reasons? you are obviously a person who rushes thru the game and do not care about details.

Don't point fingers, dude. I love trains. I grew up near the former Patomac Yards in Alexandria and I got at least a thousand invested in HO scale models. So saying I don't care is blatantly wrong. However, despite my love for trains, I don't see much of a point in driving them in-game, seeing as, to rebuttle your reasons:

1. Trains aren't entirely invincible. They can derail, as seen in San Andreas, thus rendering them useless.

2. Trains may have been good to get away from the police in San Andreas, but seeing as the police AI is improved in V, the police could just track your movements from the rail line you're traveling on.

3. Trains aren't really that fun to drive. After playing train simulator & railworks for years, I can assure you that sitting in a virtural cab, watching the same scenery go by, isn['t very fun.

4. Trains aren't an easy way to travel, seeing as you need to find a train, climb aboard (if you fail that, youre doomed to wait for another train), and even when you reach your destination, you have to jump off and walk to your final point, implying the train directly passes your safehouse

As such, despite trains being cool, they aren't really that practical. So calm you f*cking tits and just appreciate that we even have trains to begin with

Wow, this is hilarious.

You throw a sh*tstorm over not being able to drive trains presents points to support your argument, and when I rebuttle those points, you go away and tell me to keep my opinions to myself.

I'm happy they put trains in the game even thought you can't drive them, what's the point anyway.. it would be just a waste of memory anyway I mean all you had to do in san andreas to ride the train was press a button, it was boring, did it once and than never did it again. Besides trains only go one way so as I said before it would be a waste of memory

I was only replying to the stupidity of the logic you made in that one post, saying that trains should be 100% drivable since they simply make an apperance in the game. You then throw a sh*tstorm saying that we should be able to drive trains in V, and then I reply with the impractibility of it, to which you accuse me of not being able to enjoy all the details and bring up points as to why the absolutely must be in the game, and then I rebuttle those points, and then you tell me you're not going to address the points I just rebuttled.

Either you have no idea on how to have an argument or you're delousinal.

Exactly. I think I remember reading somewhere you could drive them in GTA 1, but I never really played it, so I wouldn't know for sure.

@AlexL - I'll stop only if you can rebuttle the points I made to address your points:

I've heard about the metro system/tram thing and being possible to be a passenger but idk. We'll find out Tuesday.
