Why do most people suck at driving?

Is it just a case of getting used to the physics? or is the fact people like to drive too fast and can't control their car? On most of the streams i have watched, a lot of people drive fast and continously crash into side bollards, cars, and sidewalks.

I love more twitchy controls, personally. It makes you actually have some fine motor control, which encourages brain stimulation, which prevents alzheimers.

(To clarify, i'm not being sarcastic. Fine motor control is a great thing as it really encourages your brain and body to work. The fault to which any inability to manage sensitive controls lies solely with the stump-fingered muppet playing the game.)
