Lets all clear some whinings now...

 

 

Reasons why Police is better than GTA IV:

 

They finally can do some other activities when idle, such respond to emergency call or chase after criminals(You can hear their sirens around the map).

 

Their presence is finally fair and low. Just like in real life...

 

They sometimes can be seen doing a fine or talking to some civilians or homeless people..

 

They are very aggressive. Their cars are very fast...So escaping from them using with slow or normal car is bad idea. Use a fast car or a sport car and run!Dont stop! Watch on mini-map however, they respawn around.

 

When being chased by Police while 2 stars, and their cop cars stop, officers wont get out and pull their weapon and shoot you like in GTA IV...They will have their weapon ready inside their car, and will immediately shoot you once their have opened their door!

 

They are less cheaty A.I., search zone finally removed because it was sure a cheaty system. Now, Police once they lost you, they wont give up, they will still search for you around the map for a while. If you are near them, they will get off their car and search the area.

 

Police Maverick A.I has been improved and is better.

 

 

 

 

Reasons why Police is worse in GTA V.

 

They overdo on their aggressive. If you hit their cop car so bad, you immediately get 2 stars instead...If you slightly hit their car but run away, you get 2 stars...(This somewhat reminds me from Mafia 1(Made by 2K Games, where you do a car crash, you get 1 star which is get fined, but you still drive, you get 2 stars which is arrest!But GTA never has "Get fined").

 

You wont get arrested for speeding or running red rights(This was rumour/leak anyways..)

 

Officer passenger will often be armed with shotgun, even if you have 1-2 stars...

 

There is no officer or SWAT members that wield shields and throw flashbang.(Was rumour/leak).

 

There is no "Wanted by the police"(Like Mafia 2)(Was rumour/leak).

 

They still have no ability to fine you...

 

 

Edit: For wanted by the police, I mean that you will get it only when you kill officers or resist arrest..

If you barricaded yourself in a house they will use teargas to flush you out though.

The army IS in the game. They are inside the militery base. I saw a livestream and someone tried entering, only for a tank to blow them up.

I am not sure if they actually give chase after a while if you survive 5 stars long enough. Would be interesting.

You get a 4-star wanted level when you enter the military base. They go all Rambo on yo ass when you get in there you cant even survive for 20 seconds. They literally snipe you inside your car and if you survive that somehow, the tanks will rip you apart in seconds

I don't know, while I am glad they've greatly improved the A.I, I can't help but feel like their over-aggressive nature will sometimes make the game very frustrating to play. I mean, I've seen gameplay footage where they kill you in just a few shots. I don't even feel like I'll be able to gun countless officers down for minutes on end anymore. Then again though, GTA III and San Andreas did have hard wanted levels. Vice City's was the easiest because Tommy could sprint extremely fast and you earned 200 points of health and armour after 100% completion. GTA IV and EFLC could be easy as well if you were fully loaded and good at shooting.

FIB assist police at 4 stars

NOOSE (SWAT) gets involved at 5 stars.

 

The NOOSE however act differently than previous, they set themselves at roadblocks and blast you with bullets as seen in one of the trailers.

Can't wait to finally have this game in 2 days. I am sick of people saying things that aren't even true. Army, FIB and SWAT are in. We saw a tank, a millitary helicopter and in articles Rockstar states things that FIB and SWAT will chase you.

All I wanted was officers or SWAT with shields and flash grenades. Six stars and chased by the army would of been nice too. I'm just glad they are more aggresive, it looks good and not annoying like Saints Row 3.

Official online gameplay trailer showed NOOSE (SWAT) trucks. Official SP gameplay trailer showed FIB granger, and their is military base, which holds the army.

GTA III and San Andreas did have hard wanted levels. Vice City's was the easiest because Tommy could sprint extremely fast and you earned 200 points of health and armour after 100% completion.

Vice City, all you had to do was memorize health and armor pickups. Vigilante Criminals with SHOTGUNS were the only real pain in Vice City.

 

San Andreas, go in interior and back out, 5 cops with 9mm blasting on you! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

III was overall hard with no crouch ability.
