If R* don't make a patch for this then all we can hope is the PC version gets announced soon so everybody can MOD their game as they like.

I find it ironic that PC elitists call console gamer's peasants when they're mostly the ones banging on about how cheaper a PC D.I.Y gaming rig is compared to a console?

No, they are usually saying that games on PC from Steam are usually much cheaper after a while and that if invest a little money in building/buying a decent gaming PC, you don't have to worry about further expenses for a couple of years.

I played the game for about 4 hours and the car damage is indeed a bit confusing...sometimes you have real nice damage effects, but sometimes you hit a wall with full speed and theres nearly no damage! And car armor is not a factor in this...I tried that many times with different cars... R* should fix this!

I wasted 50 pounds for the VALVe package, I must confess that while VALVe maybe nice, their games after Half-Life 2 are becoming increasingly mediocre, Portal is nice though so was Portal 2, but the rest of their games are overrated, especially Left 4 Dead. Played it for 3 hours max. Mods are nice, but I don't think any modding tool is better than GMOD, however the new version is terrible and very complicated to even get working properly. Yes I know GMOD has nothing to do with VALVe. Facepunch were the ones who created GMOD.

There won't be a patch. They made the damage like that on purpose. Get over it. It's done. Good job Rockstar! Love the damage!

LOL! Like armour would stop the damage in a head on collision with a wall at those speed. Go to bed with your Cockstar doll you fanboys.

LOL, like you can jump any car 20 feet repeatedly, not landing perfectly and it will still work.

You know, that's exactly what would have happened in GTA IV.

go play it, or watch the video you f*cking dumb f*ck c*nt

A patch is a MUST to stop the vehicles exploding upon minimal impact, stunts are rendered almost useless because if you hit anything mid air or land on something you instantly explode.

Date authentication coding method :^:

Nothing works properly until the day the codes have been set to enable, the patch may even be on the disc it's self. Not all patches are via internet, sometimes there are patches that are planned long term on the retail disc it's self. it's almost like an antivirus program, the disc will collect data from the calculations store them and if necessary a patch is formed to fix those problems based on the calculation errors it receives. That's why we have a feature that says scan content from disc, not all games require to be patched via internet use only, however it is more reliable than patches that are made from the game it's self. GTA V must have a patch already on the disc, however it could be coded to not release that patch until the date of release, or in coding terms (enable - date authentication = 17092013 - priority = release patch)

I can't believe people on this forum haven't even considered something like this :sui:

In the old days, before patches exsisted, games too longer to develop because debugging had to be done as a part of the process, before discs could be printed.

Now the developers can make a game, get it on disk and where it needs to go and then building up to the release date, do the debugging for a day 1 patch, rather than putting the game back a fewe months more.

I just hope the fat neckbeard cam isnt a game feature.

Agreed. Considering people could fall from the highest building an survive also with cars in GTA 4 pretty much renders all arguments that GTA V needs to 'fixed' as null'n'void.

Just wondering, could you all complain about a great game even more? So damage is not exactly how you want it, i'm sure there will be a patch fixing this in the coming weeks, it is not meant to be realistic remember. I for one want forza motorsport physics, am I going to get it? NO. Am I mad about it, NO.

I dont care about the car damage as much as the handling. The handling is so bad Id rather they fix that over car damage

Well, i take it you haven't played the game. However, a lot of people have, due to getting early copies. And everyone that was asked how the car handling was, their answer was ALWAYS along the lines of: "The cars feel great, better than GTA IV". So i think you shouldn't worry.

No mate, they says the car handling sucks. Yea sure, "always".

There wont be a patch for driving physics and rockstar wont waste money on a patch because some whiny kids think that gta is a real life simulator. Get over it. The driving physics are fine.

Has anyone actually justified the driving? I want someone to tell me how the changes are better other than the obvious fact that driving is now easy enough for a 5 year old to get to grips with. Rather than just insulting us for complaining.

And you guys have your fun with "you haven't played the game" cause several people who have, still have the same opinion. When the game is released you better be ready to eat your own words when thousands of people will have the same opinions as us.
