I cant believe I waited two years and was hyped to hell until two days ago. When this happened

 

 

 

 

My real question is, WHY did they downgrade from GTA IV? Was it memory issues in the game? Rockstar's The Benz did say they may stream in more car detail later(assuming GTA Online) because cars take up a "good chunk of memory". I hope they can do this in GTA V single player as well. Right now its just too bad and very unfortunate Rockstar has ruined the hype. I lost around 80% of my hype and I was so freaking hyped before that I was willing to put life on a hold for this game. Now I feel like games can always disappoint no matter what the prequel was like,and that life is way more important and to never depend on a game to be good.

 

 

GTA IV was a physics playground and felt so realistically fun.

Are you still complaining about the damage on cars? Let me tell you, cars in this game have more armour so they last longer. That's what R* wanted. But even in terms of damage, GTA V has far more complex damage than GTA IV. Proof? Park a car in front of the train, and see what happens.

My best guess is memory issues but it could just be a glitch and they might have a patch by release. Guess we'll have to wait!

I could not be happier with the game. Literally every change they did, I love. Sure, cars don't crumple as much on car crashes. But if they fall from a great height and land it badly, they now explode. If they get hit by trains e.t.c, THEN they crumple! I want to preserve my ridiculously expensive cars, not have to repair them every time I race in them online or offline.

 

The people complaining are whiny bitches. Wait until you get the game, in a few days you will forget your pre-release complaints.

My best guess is that the car is armored up, that's why it isnt getting damaged. or it's because the guy playing has a pirated version and they tend to be slimmed down more than the real game so they lose some stuff along the way

It's Franklin driving. Apparently he can control cars better and take less damage. That's from what I heard at least, whether it's true I don't know, but it would make sense. I mean, it's a little strange how it's always Franklin driving in the footage that people complain about (whether it's damage or car handling).

not necessary to goto garage to fix armor ,

cars are more diverse ,you can jack either fragile ones or collision proof ones

Again, the destruction system in V is far more precise, the deformation looks more realistic, actual parts of the car can fall off.

R* made the cars more resistan that's all, but the damage is better, in IV cars only deformed.

You lost almost all hype because cars are more resilient? Have you thought that maybe he added additional armor to the car? It's getting tiring seeing so many people bitching about such small things (in my opinion), when this is easily one of the best games i have seen.

I dont care about the car damage as much as the handling. The handling is so bad Id rather they fix that over car damage
