Mine was dispatched at 1715 on Saturday night. Outside chance it'll arrive on Monday, I'm anticipating Tuesday. From experience, it's difficult to guess when you'll have the thing in your hands. So many factors involved, not least that today is a Sunday. I think some of the various cogs in the Royal Mail machine do work on Sundays to sort and get things ready for delivery, but not all. It also depends on where you are as well, I suppose. You're unlikely to get it early if you're way out in the sticks.

If it comes tomorrow, great. I've got the week off work, so I'm in no rush.

Thanks,i live in London and know there's an Amazon place in Hemel Hempstead which is about 30mins away, but I just checked and they sent the email at 21:15,which is weird,do you think it would have reached the royal mail yet? :D

Im in SW2 and I've got no idea where the nearest one is here. Croydon, presumably. What's a bit annoying is the fact that the Royal Mail tracker never works. It doesn't update on their system until the item is pretty much on the doorstep.

Amazon orders were dispatched using Royal Mail Tracked 48, its similar and works the same as 2nd class mail would, just with full tracking on its journey.

The chance of receving it on Monday is very unlikely, im afraid. There is that chance it could come early, but please do not get your hopes up.

"We aim to deliver Royal Mail Tracked 24 the next working day and Royal Mail Tracked 48 within two to three working days. Certain postcode areas will receive a three-day service. Royal Mail Tracked 48 has a delivery aim of two days for over 94% of postcodes."

Amazon have made sure they pick a service in which gets to you on the release date.

So I'm in SW1W - my dispatch email came at 18:30 last night, and at 3am this morning it was tracked to the Royal Mail's Princess Royal Distribution Centre which is up in NW London, basically between Brent and Acton.

I assume that's where Amazon will be sending most of their London orders.

Reckon it's probably 50:50 it arrives tomorrow.

On the one hand, it's only got seven miles to go.

On the other, I have no idea when mail sorting takes place and whether they'll be working in their distribution centre Sunday night......

Either way - 24 hours is not that big of a deal. It will be with me/you by the 17th for sure, which is all we can really ask.......

Did you track on the RM site?,if so how do you find the reference number? I know that they do work in the buildings on sunday preparing for Monday deliveries, but because of Blizzards,i really have no clue.

I couldn't get that to work on the Royal Mail front page, but it did work here - http://www.royalmail.com/trackdetails

I did.

Wouldn't be overly concerned though - I think Royal Mail are notorious for not offering a great tracking service. If you live in London and it dispatched last night, you'll definitely get it Tuesday. You might just get it tomorrow if you're lucky.

Mine says that too.

I'm really not bothered if it comes tomorrow or not. But it'd be nice if it did because I currently have nothing to do until Wednesday.
