Crashing Physics?

They've scaled down pretty much every driving realism aspect. Cars handle line in some arcade NFS games. Front and rear damage is pretty much non existent. They've improved side damage however. When somebody bashes into the side of your car the doors go much further into the passenger compartment. But if you crash the car at full speed you'll only scratch the hood and the bumper.

Its not scaled back ;) When you crack into a train, your car will be deformed like in gta4. And i hope that you know that GTA is not about realism...

Stop nit picking every little thing jeez ghe driving looks way better instead of going around corners like a god damn heavy boat, the crashing is better cause you dont just crumple like a little box, last time i checked cars actually have frames

I don't know what universe you live in, but in real life if you crash a car with 150kph almost nothing is going to be left from the car. R* could have at least made the hood crumple like a real car would perform in a crash. TOCA Race Driver 2 had this 10 years ago.

I meant to say at slow speeds but yeah i get that but they prolly had to cut back on some things to make it look the way it does

That moment when you realize you're full of sh*t. Keep your smart ass memes for yourself. Many games had this crumple zone feature. TOCA Race Driver did. And so does some soft body physics games like BeamNG. Watch this.

i don't think current gen is strong enough to do such detailed crashes
