Technically they did say one day delivery which would be Monday. Even if it is 48 hours it will still get processed on sunday so it may arrive Monday. Chill.

I wouldn't trust some of those idiots on live chat, but then again I've lost all faith in amazon as well. I know people say "oh, you will get it on release day, stop moaning" etc, but when loads, and it is LOADS have had it yesterday/today, it kinda takes the piss.

 

I'm going to a midnight release as well, so I'm only bothered by the way amazon have handled this. As I said before, when they took my money, I didn't say "wooooh there! Hang on for my money..... Dispatching soon"

Totally agree with you! The fact that they many customers have already received the game/have had it dispatched today with a likely chance for delivery on Monday, would naturally frustrate other customers who are also eagerly anticipating the game but still haven't even had their order dispatched yet. I contacted Amazon many times today and when I mentioned this they all just said 'they cannot comment on other accounts' etc.

 

Mine still says Not Yet Dispatched, dont even think ill get it tuesday tbh, sh*t amazon.

When I contacted Amazon today, they said to me that if I don't get a dispatch email by Sunday 15th Sept, then I should contact them again and they will 'further investigate'. Not sure if I'm going to message them at midnight, but when I do contact them I will request they send the game via one day delivery so at least I'm guaranteed to get the game by Tuesday.

you are dumb.. Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday

 

Saturday is still a "working day" according to that Royal mail worker who was here.

Sunday they still move items around but they just do not deliver

Monday is another working day

Tuesday is release

 

It will 100% be there for tuesday. jesus... Amazon know what they are doing

 

You think that a parcel arriving at 11pm to a distribution center will be processed and you're calling me dumb. wow.

On Sundays parcels are processed but not moved from one distribution center to another. Come Monday all the parcels will START to move from distribution centers to their destination distribution centers. I don't assume my parcel will even be in the North East by Tuesday.

Nope although it's One-Day delivery and asked chat and they said it will be dispatched on Monday and delivered for Tuesday (release day).

I agree with you but I also pre-ordered from amazon for the FREE FIRST CLASS delivery that they were advertising for f*cking months. Don't I have the divine f*cking right to get what I was told I would get when I preordered ? If they had dispatched it on MONDAY with 24hr tracked delivery then I wouldn't have nagged. Furthermore, Amazon dispatched to people first class yesterday and alot of people got it today. That just plain bothers me that not everyone was treated the same.

For future notice to all the people ranting that people who pre-ordered it later got the game early compared to the one's who pre-ordered earlier.

 

Amazon do not do first come first serve!

 

When the games come in, they are all just randomly selected by the workers that trolleys over to the packing area. They take it from a place that have your game next to a label with your name and address on it. There's going to be thousands and thousands of these games that will just be selected randomly for the packer to send off.

 

PLUS: Bare in mind, Amazon are not exclusively shipping GTA V games. Thousands of other items are being ordered at the same time.

 

TO THOSE WHO HAVE "NOT YET DISPATCHED"

Amazon are definitely going overdrive right now to get every single game that has been pre-ordered by Monday, early afternoon at the latest! Your order has not been processed yet by a specific team at Amazon. I'm not too sure what that team does, but I know they prepare the games to be sent off, ready to be packed.

 

"DISPATCHING NOW"

Your items have been processed and are ready to be sent to packing. There's probably still thousands for them to get through. Your game is being picked randomly by an employee, who will trolley it to the packing area. The packers will box up your game and send it down the production line to get officially stamped blah blah blah. They'll throw your game onto a lorry and once that lorry leaves, you will get the message your item has been dispatched.

 

Amazon is a 24/7 company and all employees have a UPH target (Units Per Hour). Because of the demand of GTA V, the UPH has gone up. Trust me, the employees are probably getting shouted at now to hurry the f*ck up and get these games out. Let's just hope they're not taking to many toilet breaks! I can imagine that 98% of people who have pre-ordered GTA V, will get it on Tuesday, the rest on Wednesday.
