anyone who installed gta5 already please post from game information when it unlocks for you and what country/timezone you are? hearing different infos some say midnight others 2am or 1am? thanks

Depending on your internet speed, you could realistically play this game before midnight. I downloaded "The Last of US" from PSN store and that's a whooping 24gb download, an extra six gigs.That download probably took me around 7-9 hours. So if the US NE store starts download at 3 am tomorrow morning, it will probably be done between 9-12PM Monday afternoon. That's taking into account the heavy download traffic due to the fact EVERYONE and their aunt will be DLing the game early..

 

Except we can't download it until 12am PST Tuesday morning....

Yeah thanks a lot, I've started downloading all over and it's going at 1% in 4 minutes. At the rate it was going before, when I downloaded in the background, it would have taken 30 hours. Now it looks like 6-7 hours.

As soon as you go to purchase the digital download, they have a pop up warning that tells you you can't download it until 12am PST on Sept 17th. Which is 3am EST, Sept 17th.

yeah i tried on other games, sadly it does not work they verify the date and time against the sony servers so you cant fake it on ps3

 

BTW my game just installed fine and it also says 1 even tho i am different time zone than UK (i am in spain) so i suppose it might still be midnight UK time depending on what timezone the sony servers are.

It only means thats when you can download it for your last time and start playing it. US players like me, will still be able to pre-load on September 16th, 3 AM PST.

There is no pre-load for North America. There are conflicting reports because of R*'s tweet about pre-load the other day including EST time. Later R* tweeted saying their first tweet was incorrect.

If there was going to be a pre-load for NA, it would have been done by now already just like the EU one has been. It's not a matter of R*/Sony refusing to do a pre-load for the NA store, it's a matter of the pre-load feature simply not being there for the NA store. EU and NA PSN are two different services for two different regions.

 

No pre-load for North American PSN. But it does seem that instead of 12:01 Pacific time, the pre-load will begin at Eastern time meaning for those on the west coast, it can begin at 9 p.m. since they are three hours behind the Eastern time zone.

 

IF that tweet by R* is to be believed. Basically if you are on the east coast try to start the pre-load at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday and if that doesn't work come back at 3:01 a.m.

Because I am in Canada, genius.

 

And Canada uses the North American store, same as the US. I just have an EU PSN account which isn't that hard to make.

 

Plus, anyone can find this out if they use common sense and basic reading skills. But I don't expect that from you considering you are 13 and probably didn't even read my actual post with the tweets from R* and Sony themselves showing there isn't a pre-load.

 

You want to believe there is a pre-load, go ahead enjoy your pleasant surprise when there isn't one. I am done trying to help the majority of this section, ya'll can find this info out on your own.

I allways download on the dashboard and never get problems. I also had to pause the download 3 times because the speed was dropping immense, it bounced right back up after that. Currently installing 96%.

Just want to say that since it's really big, you can delete it anytime and download it again without losing stuff. I've done this to Far Cry and AC3 because I needed space to other games.

There is a theme without a picture and named theme that says unlocked at release. I guess its that then...

It could be your internet connections fault. Go to pingtest.net and do the test and check if you have any packet loss.

If you have, that could be the problem. Packet loss means roughly that your internet sucks.
