TechnoVyking
OP, I'd just like to thank you so much for this Q&A. After giving in and watching some streams and the vines, I was starting to doubt the game. Then I came to the forums and just saw people ragging on it, left, right, and center. I was beginning to despair, but your opinion from personal play has reignited my hype for the game. Thank you again. Omnifarious
Tampinha85
Everything you saying i saw in many streams around the net. You know what i did not see? the inventory system, care to tell us how does it work? can you equip real time sunglasses, hats, masks? what else? what about peaces of clothes? lazloisdavrock
Tampinha85
We knew this for over a month now. You seriously haven't given us any info in this entire thread that we haven't already gotten from official Rockstar sources or even leaks. This! W'he'hell excuse me for taking hours of my time, that I didn't have to, to answer your questions in-depth... I don't have to do this you know. It takes a while to go into the game, find the exact scenario, test it, and report back here with my findings. so answer: - car transmission: automatic or manual, can you choose? - inventory? Omnifarious
Omni, Have you noticed your driving skills improving? And what does bombing down the mountains roads in a fast car feel like? Somewhat, it takes driving at top speeds, near misses, drifts and the such to increase your driving stat. Omnifarious
Can you mod a bus? Lol, they won't fit in the LS customs mod shop door. GOD DAMNIT! Anyway I had an older question, do you still ALWAYS get wanted every time a cop sees you in a stolen car even if it's hours after you stole it until you change plates? I've gotten in trouble for driving a stolen car a few times.
Omnifarious
Hey Omni, have you accessed the Dynasty8 webpage for properties? If so, have you seen houses/apartments for sale? I've seen some places with for sale signs in Chumash & Paleto but they aren't marked on the map/radar. (Possibly until you get directions ). I haven't checked Dynasty8 yet, I'll check out the site when I get back on GTA tomorrow.

Agni
How does driving feel? First off, don't worry, the driving isn't like MC:LA, the closest to "arcade" feeling you'll get, is while driving a tuned up super car as Franklin. The driving is similar to IV, but feels tighter, and more responsive. "Less boaty" would be how I would describe it. Driving differs between the three Protagonists as well. As Franklin, it's easier to maneuver in a vehicle. Vehicles feel more responsive, turn harder, and overall just feel smoother to control. Drifting, J-turns, barrel rolls, etc, are all easier as Franklin. What do I mean? Say you take a 45° turn at 40 mph as Michael in a small car, you would end up hitting the wall if you didn't slow way down and hand break hard through the turn, as Franklin, you don't have to compensate as much, merely turning and lightly applying the breaks will see you drifting through that corner with ease without having to slow down as much. So far, the driving's been a lot of fun, less spinning wildly out of control, and more getting to where you want to go. Those of you who want to do some awesome "Fast and the Furious" machinima will appreciate the "super cars." They differ from normal cars, they can turn on a dime, accelerate to top speed in a mater of moments, and drift through 90° turns like something out of a movie. They're truly in a class all their own. Don't worry, if you're a fan of GTA IV driving, the normal vehicles in the game handle roughly the same, just slightly tighter. The big trucks still feel heavy and tipsy at high speeds, and the small cars are light and nimble at low speeds. (Like the Honda civic esque car from IV) How does driving feel? And "Fast the Furious"!? REALLY!? That ricer piece of sh*t movie?! And Franklin making driving easier, though old news, is pull bullsh*t. I hate how the driving differs between characters. I want my skill to matter, not some arbitrary stat bar. Ugh...UGH.

StateofMind15
May i ask what the controls are. It's been rather confusing due to the fact that there are so many different commands in the game. There nearly like Red Dead except Select is used for camera modes like GTA IV D-PAD right is the interaction button L3 and R3 together are special ability D-PAD down is character select I saw this on a leaked video which seems to be taken down

Tino3
you didn't answer can you mod police car? I haven't tried, driving around in heated vehicles like that without a uniform results in a lot of unwanted attention. So the question is now when will cheats come out? They should give us the "No cops" cheat not "reduce wanted level" cheat because if being in a police car attracts unwanted attention at all times I could see that becoming very annoying! The numpties perpetually whining about damage model physics not being the same as IV, driving being different, and the sheer number of whingers, most of which haven't even played the game is astounding. Omni... Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts and findings, this thread alone has managed to increase my anticipation for the game no end.
