Omnifarious
How's Los Santos? Downtown, Vinewood Blvd, the beach, Richman, etc? Is the boardwalk scattered with open shops you can enter like the marijuana shop Franklin enters in the gameplay video? Just like in real life, blocks mater. One spot in vespuchi beach is total hood, the next is filled with fancy houses and rich white fold. The boardwark is filled with little shops along the side, hot dog stands, drinks, shirts, drugs, etc. Downtown is packed, the "hood" is more sparse, but filled with drunks, gang bangers, cop interventions, and sirens. I lived in the south side of Milwaukee with the mexican gangs, I felt like I was right back at home. That sh*tty music, (Rap, I'm not a big fan) coming from a dark ally way with garbage and sh*t everywhere, sirens in the background, and the low hum of the city at large. They really got that feel down. Porch monkeys hollering "at their boy" "EH TYROOOON! GET'CH YO ASS OUT HERE NIGGA!" and the such. Almost started sneaking at one point lol. (I'm white, fat, wear flannels, and haven a yooper accent. I stuck out like a sore thumb around all the lean dark tank top wearing Mexicans and blacks, lol.) The city and its animations are something to behold; place feels real.
lowpayne1911
Omni, how is the AI traffic? Realistic? Surprisingly so, and also dense. While flying through LS, you can see, say, a 4 lane highway below, and instead of 4-5 cars on it, like in IV. There's an upwards of 20. Thanks! Also, have you noticed the 'cycle of life' sorta system that was in the Game Informer article last year? Like people going to work in the morning and during the day you see them working? Bump, please answer

Bump, please answer Streets are dark and desolate in the hood at night, lights are turned out, shady characters roaming around, drug dealers and hookers come out in force after around 10pm in-game time. Traffic slows down, and kicks up around 2am. Mostly drunks on the road, swerving and sh*t. (Remember Niko shouting "YEEELLOW CAR! AAARRRRRRGGGHHHH!" Yeah, people do that at the strip club on closing, XD.) Around 4-5pm, you don't want to be caught on the freeways leaving downtown LS. So, much, traffic... People work, and close up shops at night. Poor 24/7 guy was sleeping standing up. I robbed him as Franklin. That woke his ass up, XD... Also, sorry for all the swearing, getting into that mind set, Franklin, Lamar, and the crew, are "gansta." Swearin' 'n sh*t every other word. SUPAH JD
Does each character have exclusive customization options? (Like is Michael is limited to the classy clothes only) If you want to put Michael in GSF colors, and "ride up on some bitches" you can. Also, Franklin in skinny jeans and a tank top = LOL. The characters aren't limited to one style. Also, beards are confirmed, lots o' beards. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES. Now sharks. Shaaaaarks. Death_Blade
After watching some videos and live streams, I'd like to ask, what time period does this game actually take place in? Without trying to give away any spoilers or anything, the opening mission looks like it takes place a lot longer ago than just 9 years. It doesnt really match up with the game being "present day" if thats the case. If the game takes place in 2012-2013, then that would mean the opening mission took place around 2003, but all the vehicles/hairstyles/etc in the opening mission are very 80s styled. Just doesnt make any sense to me.

Is there the feeling that much more stuff will be unlocked as you progress through the story? Have you seen much change in the weather yet? After doing one of the first missions for Simeon, the Armenian car dealer I'm sure you heard about. I came across a random encounter. I won't say what it was, for spoiler reasons, but it had the same question mark as the encounters in IV. There's heaps of side missions to do, lots of random people want your help. And yes, there's a real sense of progression. So far, for weather, it's been sunny, with a slight fog one of the morning. JustOneMonth
How's the mission complete jingle? Not sure how to explain it lol, like a, ding dooo. A semi translucent post mission stats screen comes up, and says, "MISSION PASSED" Kinda trivial, but are you having fun with the game? Are there plenty things to do other then story missions? Let's put it this way, GTA IV looks like a complete piece of sh*t compared to this game. I'll never be able to play IV ever again. I honestly don't even know what to do. The game's shier realism is freaking me out. I find my self staring at people going about their business, watching people punch out cops, run, get tackled, swear and scream and get taken away by them... It's amazing. Also, flicking off cops from a crotch rocket really pisses them off. Dat f*cking you-are-teasing-me moment! My last question beeing, how much time does it takes to switch protags? Is it dynamic? Bump. We need an awnser about switching, i mean, i need! Im just wanting to leave Trevor on a 5 wanted and switch back to Michael.

Not long at all, down on the d-pad, swing to your choice, and it goes out into the air, and come down to the next one real quick. (Like in the trailers) Also, Chop. Chop appears on the wheel from time to time. You can see things through his view. (Like when he's sniffing out bad guys for you that are hiding) You can also apparently download an app onto your smartphone/tablet irl,and teach him new tricks and the such. They try to get out of the way for the most part, they don't just 90 degree turn it into a wall like in IV anymore. They try to pull over for you correctly. I had a mention of my robbing the 24/7 via the police radio/scanner thing. Talked about how a black male was seen heading west from the 24/7 on "Blank" and "Blank" avenue. Haven't seen a Cluckin' Bell/Burger Shot yet. Then again, I haven't been looking that hard for much of anything, lol. Don't think you can outrun them long on a bike, they will drive into you like the Russian Police. They're out to kill after two stars, that's for sure. At least it's easy to lose them. Run around a corner, and slip into an alleyway, jump into another car, and pull out going the other way. Cops will usually fly right past you looking for that bike you were one. Just don't sit in front of one too long, he may end up realizing it's you. Just drive slowly, and calmly away from the cops.
