JasonStatham
Best handling I've ever experienced, it feels so good when you don't have to push your analog on one side all the time, you just hold it and vehicle turns so f*cking good. blackrooster_
Totally agree. Handling and physics sucks. You should have to learn how to drive a car well ... not hop in it for the first time and drive like Mario Andretti. silent storm

james_root
The driving system in GTA IV was perfect , which was also the main reason i was able to play the game for 5 years. All the vehicles felt right, the damage, acceleration, the mass ext. Only problem was the brakes didn't work as good as they should so you would get into accidents more often. With GTA V, there is a competeltly different driving system. I always though Rockstar would keep and improve the IV's driving system. At GTA V, all the cars feel like they are extremely lightweight, you can turn any corner by just turning L stick to left/right. I didn't use handbrake once to take a corner. I have been playing GTA V since Saturday and i played about 7-8 hours and right now i can drive inside city area for 5-10 minutes without hitting anything , because it is very easy to control the vehicle. I would much have prefered an improved GTA IV driving system over what we get with GTA V, which is designed to be easy and not challenging to drive a car. silent storm

namor
A few hours ago I drove round the whole map at full speed with one of those cars that looks like the Bullet GT and I didn't use the brakes once, also, each time the car went flying after a hill, it crashed to the road like a breeze block and kept going at the speed it took the hill, no suspension or bounce whatsoever. This is bloody disgraceful for a game that's not only taken this long to develop, but that it was delayed a further year for R* to make "tweaks" in the game. Now we know what the "tweaks" were. R* didn't dumb down the physics, they went full retard on them.

Propaganda machine driving overtime … Didn't you just post the same thing a few times on several thread? If you follow that logic, then I can guess that since you signed up 17 hours ago then you must be a secondary account by an anti-GTA V handling user. AlasClarin
So, I drove around 6000km in the past month, and I can clearly tell you: GTA IV's handling was NOT realistic at all. Stop acting like a 13 year old girl, go out and drive a real car. Threads like this are in the Top 5 rank of the most annoying topics on here. I never f*cking said that it was realistic, if you took your time to read the topic, you could f*cking understand it fully. I said it's more realistic than GTA V. Like how the f*ck can i freaking do a 180, and my f*cking car still stable? Is that realistic to you? Geez. How do you know it's more realistic than V, dipsh*t? You haven't even played it. Hitting the brakes and sliding two blocks in IV was far from realistic. This fanboy is disgusting. He's just blindly in love with Rockstar. Not-on-the-cover
GTA IV Driving physics was terrible, absolutely terrible. When I drive my car IRL I don't slide all over the place and constantly turn my wheel from left to right to keep it straight. It's not real and when you play real driving/racing simulators you will know. GTA V is a perfect compromise and you can drift just as much in GTA V. A new game, new physics, deal with it. Most people don't like the GTA IV driving physics so to write a petition is selfish and stupid, they cannot just simply change the driving physics in a patch......Think about it! Trund
The petition has nearly hit 1000, come on share the link everywhere! http://www.change.or...=share_petition Ridiculous. Google threads from 2008, look at how many people complained about driving in GTA IV, the hate was way heavier than it is now, R* is not going to change anything. The driving in GTA IV was far from realistic, like stated many times, the boat behavior was insanely stupid and unrealistic, BUT, it was fun too. I also enjoy driving in GTA V, just as much as I did in GTA IV. There's only a hand full of cars that could benefit from some minor tweaks, but most just work pretty fine. Goddamn they sure make some rigid cars these days! Its hard to believe the quantum leap made in car safety over a half decade! So your problem is the damage and NOT the driving? Because when I hit a wall in my game, it does damage. It does way more than that, so that may be a glitch.
Kent_Paul_Jnr
I feel the cars have less mass / weight and u dont see the suspension or damage as much as in IV which for me is a let down. A sudden stop in IV - Niko and the passengers really felt as if they slammed hard against the dashboard, that feeling of momentum has been lost in this game. However - combined with the road / open space layout, the speed of the cars and larger variety of sports cars - I like it over IV's overall, in IV I had to load the episodes DLC to explore the good car / bike content - atleast in this, the selection is there from the get go. I just wish we had nitros mods and hydralic mods for cars... thats only bug bears i have with V's cars.
King Kapone
Car chases in IV were a lot more fun because of the looser handling. Like Kent Paul said above me, V is lacking the momentum that IV captured so well. I really, really do hate whenever I clip a NPC vehicle their vehicle suddenly becomes a brick wall and god forbid they put their vehicle in reverse, they're suddenly pushing me back even though my foot is slamming down on the gas. It makes highway driving so ridiculous when you can't get around a NPC vehicle because they've basically become a large, immovable stone in the middle of the road. gsbadreligion
IV's handling is terrible V's is so much better i can tear sh*t up now way better and when i used to play IV i was great at driving this game is just way better learn to drive in game and you won't f*ck up. Hell use franklin if you suck that bad but the handling isn't bad especially considering you can change the suspension to drive how you want to drive. It's about driving being so easy that it bores the hell out of you. 2. Changing the suspension doesn't do anything except lower the car.
