WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP CALLING IT SMALL?!? Combine los santos (san andreas), las venturas and san fierro... you get GTA V los santos. Plus the countryside and extra towns. btw you can fit FIVE Libery City's in that map

This exact screen has been posted already but its a good one,

Map is gonna be really big and i really can't understand of of these trolls on here complaining and nothing but complaining, it is really sickening and pathetic.

After looking at this version, I am very pleased.

I was allready happy, but the scale comparison really shows how huge it is.

Can you show where? I know the map itself has been, but Rockstar only confirmed this about an hour ago officially, and this map is from Forbes.com, they posted the article only an hour ago.

If you think about how much detail R* puts into this (they customize things down to the grass blades and weeds in the cracks of streets, as said in the recent interview) it really makes my brain explode. This is why there is 5 years of development time.

Un-f*cking-believable...

Also you know in 2nd trailer when the guy jumps from the plane with a car, you can see the desert map. Can someone plot it on this map? please

It's in the poll: Map Size. Along with about 10 other maps showing the scale.

Another pointless thread.

Ok, it wasn't posted that long ago in there, but you are correct.

Still, I think this is the best picture, and might even be from Rockstar themselves. I'm pretty sure they added the scale overlay once the map leaked.

Also it seems at the north, they seem to have photoshopped something out...

Brilliant comparison. Hopefully the small minority saying the map looks small will stop!

I highly doubt that GTA V's Los Santos = San Andreas' LS, LV, and SF... there's just no way that's possible.

TBH, the part with Michaels house actually makes it feel small.

Nah if you really look at the entire map and compare it to the scaled parts you'll see it's huge, also the scaled parts aren't even fully zoomed in except 1.

But you do bring up an interesting point...I think the scaled parts are Michael, Franklin, and Trevors homes.

P.S. Why they did that crappy photoshop job to the north part of the map (the ocean part), tells me something is being hidden in this picture that they posted on twitter, and then got posted on forbes.

hey boss, saw this and i had to respond just because i admittingly am one of those who call it small. but just to clear it up what im calling small is the city portion compared to the desert/(what most of us besides the moutains) would cal dead area, before you shoot me down, i mean just think are you going to spend most of your time in the dessert or racing around the actual city in a sports car, thats just my take i wish theyre was a little bit more city area but hey idrc its f*ing GTA!!! 6 DAYS I CANT TAKE IT!!!!

I thought this same thing, it's looking like there won't be as much city has I had originally wanted, but oh well. The content will surely make up for it.
