93Sean93
I have been wondering if Los Santos is really bigger than Liberty City (not including Alderney). I tried placing the 6 islands of Liberty into the Los Santos map (blueprint) and they appeared to be the same size, with Los Santos being a little bigger. However, looking at the real GTA V map, Los Santos looks much smaller than it did on blueprint for some reason. Does anyone have an idea on how LS scales in comparison to LC? Dope_0110
It looks smaller to you due to seeing the whole map instead of just the city. It is about the same size as Liberty City.
Dawgshite
Yeah, it's disappointing how small the city is. They should've put more energy on the city than some boring ass countryside.
kipakolonyasi
i like the countryside, mountains and lakes more too like everyone else. but the CITY is still a lot smaller than i expected. doesn't feel immersive because it supposed to be a simulation of los angeles but now its more like a miniature. disappointed. LibertyKing
@Fail_At_GTA: Your signature is actually a lie, LS doesn't cover more square footage than LC at all. It's actually relatively the same, but not small. LC is big. Edited September 10, 2013 by Libertyking

And coz it's rockstar, can you imagine what's gunna be out there....I think we'll all be happy There's not that much to do in the countryside. Did you take a look a the guide's map? Lots and lots of activities/things to do in Los Santos. But almost no markers in the countryside. Emptyness and mountains. That's what it is. Once youve basejumped 2-3 times from MT Pointy i'm pretty sure you won't go back. Edited September 10, 2013 by ABCDOGGY ginette
killahmatic
Los Santos is huge, roughly the same size as IV, it just looks small in comparison to the full map. take away half the countryside and city fans wouldve been completely happy. Exactly this ^ Guys, there IS going to be sh*t to do in the countryside.....think about how RDR felt. That was basically ALL countryside. They know what they are doing.....I for one am f*cking pumped about how much emphasis they put into the countryside. I don't get why everyone is bitching. LS is going to feel huge. Who said it was supposed to be a simulation of Los Angeles genius? This game is not a simulation of anything. How is the city smaller than you expected? It's as big as GTA IV which is a VERY big city for a game on current gen. It just looks small because of the overall size of the map. Honestly, the map is huge, but I'm still dissapointed because it looks like they've put more emphasis on the countryside... This is what people wanted, GTA IV was criticized to no end because of the lack of country side and variation of terrain. The countryside and vast areas of openness, wildlife, nature and mountains is what is going to make this game GREAT. SesameStPimp
The huge countryside, especially with the mountains, is going to make the city seem even bigger inside the game. The map is a poor way to judge anything.
