LEXER1
Anyone know why R* didn't just use Red County or Bone County from SA? Just wondering.
gwaha
Because it is not the same county. It is a re-imagined SoCal instead of a HD-version of GTA SA.
Okin
They would have been extremely limited as to what they could add. No Zancudo, military base, Josiah etc. Chiliad would also be in a completely different place too.
LEXER1
That's what I don't understand: if its not an HD SA, then why use Los Santos as the name and not Bone/Red County? Again, just wondering and trying to discuss something besides the map
LEXER1
Okin: well SA wouldve been set 21 years ago and stuff couldve been built (added in game). Know what I'm saying?
3r4z0r
Anyone know why R* didn't just use Red County or Bone County from SA? Just wondering. Wondering about that too. Why they named the city Los Santos and the mountain Mount Chiliad but the countryside is now called Blaine County now? Why not Red County?
DODI3OG
Yeah an earthquake took place and new locations had been added out of your ass.
LTA1992
That's like asking why HD Liberty City was named that even though it was nothing like III or GTA1 LC. Edited September 10, 2013 by LTA1992

carnage.
Because "Blaine" rhymes with "Plain". (I'm joking, I love the map.) Edited September 10, 2013 by carnage.
3r4z0r
What also makes no sense is that R* named the Mountain north of the map "Mount Chiliad" , but the Mount Chiliad from San Andreas was in the west.

I guess the guys up there are right and they just changed everything. I was just playing SA and I wonder how everythings gonna change (Santa Maria Pier, Downtown etc.)
