GTA Master Blaster

Mine is still on Pre-Order. Hope it starts getting processed soon! Also anyone know what's DPD Next Business Day Delivery???? :dontgetit::dontgetit:

DPD is a courier service. They are next day deliveries so expect yours to be dispatched on Monday in time for Tuesday.

Cheers :D Seriously doubt I'll get it on Tuesday though if despatched on Monday as I don't live on mainland UK. But one of the northern isles.

Not by ShopTo though, which this thread is about.

No one using ShopTo will have that problem.

Royal Mail don't decide. They are a courier, not a shop.

Shop to at £45

Amazon at £37ish

Who shall I choose? I want the game soonest :(

If you want it early then ShopTo. Amazon's one of the last places I'd pre-order from online. Amazon will deliver on the release day at best.

I've ordered the standard edition, not paid yet as i'll just let them take it out when they're ready. I'm still at pre-order status though.

40.85 is a weird price so i wonder if it'll drop down to 39.99 before it's shipped and i can save a few pennies.

That wont happen. The price has gone up in the past few months and it wont go down. It's a shame ShopTo are so expensive these days but you cannot deny that they probably have the best service in the whole of the UK.

Also I would like to add you most likely wont get it early unless they plan to break the release date when Rockstar have given precise instructions not to. What will happen is that any preorders made before yesterday will be preordered and posted by this weekend. They will give STRICT instructions to the Royal Mail or whatever courier is being used to not deliver until Tuesday. This happens with a lot of AAA titles that are released on Tuesdays. Receiving the game within 24 hours of posting is not likely to happen unless you pay for 1 day delivery.

They do this so everyone gets their preorder on time to maintain and live up to their reputation. At the end of the day everyone is happy.

Shopto is located is Bracknell, Berkshire.

Knowing them, they will be processing now to friday afternoon, assuming they've got tons of orders.

Then dispatched to the nearest sorting office, which would be done before the end of the day.

I know that some sorting offices work overnight, but some don't.

So they'll be ready by saturday morning regardless.

They'll then be loaded up and ready to be delivered. I'd say anywhere further than 40 miles, will have an extra day to wait as they have to deliver to another branch.

Anywhere under 40 miles, you might wanna have your fingers crossed for saturday delivery.

But truth is 90% of us will receive it on monday/tuesday.

Damn I should have pre ordered with Shopto I live right next to Bracknell, 6 miles away from the town centre.

The past 3 AAA titles I have ordered 2 being from Game and 1 from ShopTo were delivered by the Royal Mail and arrived on release date. Not once have I had a game early when the developers/publishers have specifically asked not to break the date.

I've had AAA games early through pre-ordering,

Absolutely NOTHING to do with them asking not to break dates.

1.It was a request from Rockstar, not an agreement.

2.Only Game are complying with it because they have exclusive rights to sell the SE or the CE in the U.K.

3.Royal Mail won't hold onto packages. They have nothing to gain by doing so.

The main games in particular are all from the CoD series. Very rarely do the developers and publishers enforce their dates giving strict instructions of when the companies can post. The only games I know of that this applies to are CoD and now GTA V.

I am not talking out of my ass. I have received every single game from ShopTo early with the exception of Black Ops 2 because Activison were strict about posting just like Rockstar are now.

I 100% guarantee that ShopTo will process and post during this week up to the weekend and the Royal Mail or other couriers will hold onto it until Tuesday.

Also Game don't have exclusive rights to those editions. They have exclusive rights to the Special Edition only...

Couriers can hold mail. Royal mail deliver it as soon as they get it.

Royal Mail (or any other courier) will NOT hold onto the game. It is completely unfeasable for them to do so.

1. They can't have hundreds of thousands of these packages sitting around everywhere. A postal service is like a plumbing system; everything needs to keep flowing properly. The second you get a clog, bad stuff starts to happen.

2. There's no real way for the courier to know what parcels are GTAV and what aren't. They certainly aren't going to open them all up to find out.

3. They have no obligation to do so. They have no contracts or agreements with Rockstar. If the game gets delivered early they aren't going to be held accountable or fined.

The amount of people saying ROYAL MAIL WILL HOLD THEM is getting ridiculous. The royal mail is sh*t enough as it is, what makes you think they'd even have the capacity to hold them for 2 extra days? Not to mention the face they don't have any kind of relationship with rockstar at all, so they don't give a sh*t.

Everything I have stated is what has happened with Game in the last 12-18 months. They ask the Royal mail to not deliver until Tuesday for some titles(mainly CoD). Unless Shopto want to break the release date then don't expect it early.

No. GAME either dont dispatch until the Monday or they ship them via 2nd Class mail during the weekend. No courier is ever going to intentionally hold parcels to avoid breaking street dates.
