73duster
I don't get the fascination with the outcome of a poll. Polls are fatally flawed because most people vote with selfish intentions. Go ahead, view ANY poll and see if you don't find something to object about. It doesn't matter if it's a greatest song list, greatest movie list or greatest athlete list. The very nature of these "polls" are subject to much more than honest opinions. If YOUR favorites don't fall where you think they should, then you aren't likely to agree with the poll. Furthermore, you will usually find that the polls are missing things you think they should include, or have something you feel doesn't belong on the list. Polls only serve to create controversy. They settle NOTHING. This poll in particular is a fanboys dream, AND nightmare, all rolled into one. Who will end up number one? A better reply would be "WHO GIVES A SH*T!". ADropInTheOcean
I honestly can't see what's so good about Elder Scrolls. I played Skyrim back in 2011 just to try and understand what the hype was all about and when it comes to graphics and open world it is, in fact, brilliant, but the storyline and characters are easily some of the most forgettable around, and after a while it becomes incredibly repetitive and dull. I haven't played previous TES games, and I might do so in the future, but can someone explain me for now what has this franchise greatly done in favor of the gaming industry? What does it have of revolutionary and unique in it? Why is there this huge cult following behind it? And before someone calls me a troll, yes, this is a legitimate question from someone who doesn't understand the most likely glorious history behind TES. Outplug
This seriously isn't a fair thread. You have not played GTA V yet. What if you unwrap the game and find out there are actually a lot more faults than advertised and you end up liking it about as much or less than IV? Then, if you enjoy TES more, you might have regrets about having helped this get so high based on, well, fanboyism. Either way, probably most of you can't vote as you're likely using GTA V as reason just like I said on the other thread. Additionally, some of you may have also not played any of the TES series, so it's kinda biased (and definitely fanboyism). I for one can't vote. Haven't played the TES series and I don't think it's a fair time to vote as I'll likely be heavily influenced by what GTA V looks to be turning into for the GTA series. It'll have to wait till Tuesday

kailay
Love both series but Morrowind was the first game I played and it'll always be my favourite and I've spent hours and hours on Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim. So voted TES, Sorry ;D Loved GTA:SA but hated GTAIV. So that also influenced my choice. Edited September 11, 2013 by kailay

Unknown16
Sorry. This goes to Elder Scrolls. I played Daggerfall before I played GTA. So much nostalgia when thinking about both series though, I just find Elder Scrolls to be more content packed. Bonnano
Elder Scrolls is not my cup of tea, but I have played some Oblivion back in the day visiting my cousin in Las Vegas, and I gotta say I was kinda hooked. Regardless of that, I still voted GTA because it just brought more memories than ES. Edited September 12, 2013 by Bonnano

cholesterol
ELDER SCROLLS ALL THE f*ckING WAY BABY @henriquedematos Its the vast open world, the hand crafted detail in every inch of it, the amazing deep lore. The games have a soul to them, It is and always will be unique. Every character has their own back stories, passions etc. The game world IS ALIVE. It's my favorite game series by far, and always will be. Sorry if I went off the rails, but I can't really be articulate at this moment. Setrakus
Haven't played GTA V yest, can't say I will 100% love it. I have played all of TES I can say I 120% loved them all. I voted TES becuase it actually has an entricate story and a massive amount of content (Map content and "Large mountains" [which skyrim has] don't mean anything to me.) Skyrim simply has more content even if a lot of it is text base. I'm going to get flamed but thats the price to pay to have an opinion. (Not saying GTA V won't be good either though)
