So, everyone is posting topics saying "Hey, Germany and UK are getting the game on Monday" or "My local store in Cali is selling me the game today" or something like that. Anything about Australia, specifically EB Games? I would email their support, but by the time they reply, the game would probably already be out, not even kidding, their support takes days. Anyone has anything? I also know about all of that "stores won't get their copies dispatched until 16th" so don't even bother.

I don't care about your opinions of them, I myself only pre-ordered from them because I wanted the Special Edition, I only want an answer.

My advice is to just wait a week. The only thing that might happen is some of the bigger stores like Big W or Kmart releasing it a day early, once that happens then every shop is allowed to release the game. The first place to release it early cops a fine and that would mean the other stores are free to release their copies. Bigger companies do this because they can easily afford the fine and they get the business because the game is released early. I'm pretty sure that's how it works anyway, it used to be like that. But its only 1 more week, waiting this little extra time will make it that much sweeter.

Right, cool. I got my pre-order set up to my mobile phone, so when the game does release at EB games, they'll send me a text notifying.

My local Eb games Guy keeps saying with all releases that the only time that they (eb game0 will break street date is if they get green light from the publisher or if another store has broken it already kepping them clear of the $100000 fine and possible 5 years in gaol

Yeah, big retailers suck and are generally out of the know when it comes to games (which often works to the consumers advantage because it also means they just put sh*t on the shelves when they get it in). What game was it?

Considering Red Dead broke street date its quite possible for this to break street date. I'll be on lookout tomorrow because someone may slip up or possibly Sunday. Either way, there is only 3 days and 8 hours until the Midnight release so not long either way.

i've spoken to a target and big w (sydney south west), they haven't received their stock in yet but they usually sell the game once they receive the stock. was told stock should come in either tomorrow, or monday.

I know i got SA from EB 3 or 4 days early but with IV i had to wait for the midnight launch. i just hope with how social media is now we can use that as evidence. (unlikely) to show cause.. if Kmart or any other retailer breaks the street date i will have no problem going to that shop.

EB Games just sent a text to saying I can pick the game up Tuesday 12:01 PM. I am assuming that is because they already got the copies in stock, so expect more chances the next few days of street date being broken.

Kmart are usually good at breaking embargo's for us Aussies, Diablo 3 for PS3/360 being the most recent, unfortunately this time there is a LOT of warning for them NOT to break the embargo, so I think we're gonna be stuck with waiting until midnight monday night this time around.
