Starz
Big enough for me. Although you can roughly estimate the map size, you won't get a real sense of scale until you are actually playing the game.
Dutch Psycho
Just place a tiny dot with your pencil on the map, that's your player icon. Now you will see how big this map is.

BaMxIrelandx
Of course it's going to be big enough. If it's not just buy yourself another game, nothing is going to compare to this GTA for a good while tho good luck in finding a game that will compare to this. killahmatic
I don't think so. This looks like you could cross it by car in about ten minutes. You should be saying: "I think it is. I think it could take up to ten minutes to cross this map, compared to only a few minutes in past games" Edited September 10, 2013 by killahmatic
Gaghet
It definitely looks what Rockstar said 'bout SA+IV+RDR. I am satisfied with it. Map is very big. Who said that the map is small - go play Just Cause 2 Edited September 10, 2013 by Gaghet
ABCDOGGY ginette
Yes the map is big, but mountains take to much space. It's like a 1/3 of the map will be mountains. Yes it is bigger than San Andreas, Red Dead and Liberty City together, but only the mountains are taking a full liberty city, then the interiors and underwater are taking half red dead. Which leave us with a map a bit bigger than San Andreas. And damn that lack of roads. See East Lost Santos? Looks like only 50 person can leave there. Good thing the city is more than 1/10 or 1/8 of the map. With the space the mountains are taking Los Santos looks to be a 1/3 of the map.

DarkFalcon95
It's perfect. People who are saying it's too small. Los Santos is roughly the same size of Liberty City without the water in between it. Liberty City had plenty of space to explore and have firefights and such. This map, if it really is real. Has FAR more space to explore than many Liberty Cities put together. Also. Look at the water. Near the land you see the water is darker meaning that's all probably scuba area. Also don't mention the fact that the height you can reach by plane will be higher than Liberty City.
dimitrispgr
SA, RDR and IV combined? I don't think so. WATER Water Water Water WATER Interiors. You just didnt listen........... Actually they said 5 times bigger if you count WATER and interiors. Map is great. LS is almost like LC, LS county is RDR and Blain County is SA. tom_p1980
Just place a tiny dot with your pencil on the map, that's your player icon. Now you will see how big this map is. Infact that wouldn't be small enough. You'd need to put a pin prick in one of the roads, the tiny hole left would be the player marker. Even then it could well be too big. DaRkL3AD3R
My own personally hand crafted grid for the map. Yes I know the bottom right corner the grid lines are off by a few pixels. The rest of it is perfect and I am too lazy to go back and fix those small errors that don't change the calculation whatsoever. f*ck it I fixed the grid error. Now it's perfect. richard1997jones
I'm gutted San Fierro and Las Ventura aren't in it. But I was half expecting San Diego. Truly gutted at the map can't believe I spent a couple of years of my life excited about that.

Rafe
This poll isn't that great. I think the map is large but the city itself seems rather small. We are supposed to be talking LA here. LA is horizontally massive. It is not a vertical city like NY/Liberty city. If you've seen the LC vs Los Santos overlay maps Liberty city is actually wider which should't be the case. killahmatic
Theres no question this is a good size map. I definitely can't imagine San Andreas, IV, and RDR squeezed into it though. Maybe the block sizes are much larger in V than previous games, but looking at block sizes and comparing them to the San Andreas map, V looks about the same size as Los Santos & county + San Fierro & county. This is not a complaint, just an observation. I expect to be fully impressed when I get V.
CaptJack
There's so much more of Los Angeles and Southern California that I would love to see represented in a GTA game that obviously isn't in GTA V, but the game world still seems impressive. I'll wait to see how it plays before I render any further judgment.
