The Map Size

Twice
 Share

Recommended Posts

Looked small at first... but when I zoomed in and started noticing icons and roads and all.... it definitely feels it will be pretty huge.

BTW the dark blue colour in the water ... I believe the dark blue water spots shows the area of underwater that a player should explore. The light blue part will just be endless sea I assume.

Anybody that says the map is small is too young to be playing the game confirmed. It's obvious some people don't understand the concept of scale. The map is f*cking huge.

I dunno it just seems dissapointing compared to San Andreas map

But this isn't San Andreas.

If people want a map size from a game from 2005 then they need to accept that the game they want will also have 2005 graphics.

1. *2004

2. Actually, it looks even bigger than San Andreas.

Good spot it was 2004 not 2005, my bad. :^:

Yup and California looks small as well!

-Facepalm- How you can expect to get a sense of scale off a single map?

Can drive that in five mins I heard mate!

Look at the scale and then look again. N thats forgetting about the underwater world they have created aswell.

Nobody gives a f*ck about underwater. WTF are you expecting to see there. Yea, just fish, couple of sharks here and there. People want urban areas, at least one larger towns, not some endless rocks, sea weed underwater.

The reason why I'm dissapointed is cause they said it was bigger than San Andreas red dead and gta4 combined. Clearly is not even bigger than San andreas

What? I was saying that the V map is bigger.

Look, research scale and come back. The V map is clearly bigger. San Andreas takes 1 minute to drive from Los Santos to Venturas. This looks like at least 10 minutes to get from LS to Grapeseed, by car.

Wow, honestly I am disappointed in the amount of votes for the third option. You know what scale (scaling) means? At least you maybe will be surprised when playing the game. Well, I voted: I think so.

And how the f*ck it is not bigger than the one of GTA SA?

I don't think so. This looks like you could cross it by car in about ten minutes.

It's 3 times LC dude.

Not the city dude.

Personally I think it takes a special kind of person to be dissatisfied with it.

It is what it is, so whether your ok with it a little redundant at this point. It's like watching the kid who wants chocolate ice cream until his mate gets vanilla, then he carries on it's not what he thought it was going to be...

Apologies for the few who didn't need a child like analogy but for the rest of you. if thats how you act, then thats how you will be treated.

Lol the people who said no are no brainers who don't know what they are talking about. Retarded kids.....You didn't even read the LS Size thread and the mapping thread. The map is MASSIVE and even the city is BIG.

Doesn't look small at all but it definitely doesn't look as big as "GTA Iv, San Andreas, and Red Dead Redemption combined." Slightly disappointed.

actually, it is big but not enough, i mean, basically we have 2 airports (third one is military stuff), they're quite close too, what's the point of having jets in there?

thus, 3 very small towns and two of them are basically one for how close they are.

again, the map is big but, at the moment without having tried it, it doesn't seem to be well organized.

last but not least, what's the point of having (probably) north yankton as a "teleport" place? wasn't it possible to have it inside the same map or a little outside as a smaller island?

No you're wrong just compare the LS airport to LC airport (considering LS airport is bigger than LC because real planes take place this time).

This means that the city itself is bigger than LC but the entire map is about 4 times bigger than GTA IV's.

But , it's funny because you're only seeing the ground , remember that there is another world under the water too .

SO HOW THE HELL CAN YOU CALL THIS MAP SMALL ? it's five times bigger than LC and full of details . also much more interactivity and also some objects destruction added to the game (like the one you saw in the gameplay trailer).

(Excuse my English)

But GTA V has one detailed city instead of three half assed ones and countryside that has actual wildlife.

SA looks tiny really.
