Not to be a Debby Downer, but its a bit sad. I would have expected when the map leaked for the thread to reach 30 pages in 15 minutes. But theres not one surprise about the entire thing. They showed way to much of the map before release IMO.

 

But im sure exploring it will be much more exciting

I have said this all along, Rockstar kept saying we want to keep it a surprise for you so we are hiding a lot of the map for you too explore yourself - SO WHY THE HELL DID WE ALREADY MAP IT LOL

It is not small. It just seemes to be small, because you do not see every detail of the game world! As if R* puts every single detail in the map! Every GTA map seemed to be small, especially the map of LC. But when you are acutally playing it,.....I am not concerned.

To the people saying it is too small, notice that there is a huge sea in the middle of the map. It isn't a lake, it's a SEA. I imagine it will take a few minutes just to fly over that sea, so compare that to the size of everything else.

 

This map is HUGE!

Call me cynical but if the "leaker" does indeed have the Strategy Guide to be convinced this is real then I would expect he/she to have taken more shots of the other 400 or so other pages in the guide.

 

Until then I say this map is a fakeroo.

Not really. San Andreas' map looks bigger. I thought rockstar said GTA V's map was going to be larger than RDR's map, IV's map and San andreas' map combined?

No offense but this map is small as hell. I own the GTA IV strategy guide and that map took up just a out the whole page too.

 

The only reason V is bigger is because its not divided up into a bunch of islands. If they filled the water between all of IV's islands and made it land it would be just as big as V. They over exaggerated the hell out of the size of this map. It has one city and that's it. The rest of the map just becomes Just Cause 2, 2.0.

Go now and look at an overhead map of Liberty City. Looks pretty tiny, right? Now take a think back to when you were in the city standing underneath the Broker Bridge looking out towards Algonquin. The city looked huge. It's all about perspective.

Wow that's huge . Anyway, it's a matter of scale, your player will be extremely small compared to the rest, this map is huge!
